Courtroom testimony by psychologists on eyewitness identification issues

This article makes two major points in regard to expert psychological testimony on eyewitness identification. First, the attention devoted by psychologists to eyewitness identification issues is far out of proportion to the incidence of trials involving eyewitness identifications of criminal defendants; furthermore, the often-expressed concern over wrongful convictions is probably misplaced. Second, the experimental methods used in studies of eyewitness performance are fundamentally unsuited for drawing conclusions about actual witnesses. Hence, there is not an adequate scientific foundation for expert psychological testimony on eyewitness identification. Archival research is perhaps the most promising approach to the study of the criminal justice system.     

与医源性相关的输卵管妊娠破裂死亡法医病理学研究

目的探讨输卵管妊娠破裂死亡的特点.方法对1990-2005年10月间华西医科大学法医学院14例输卵管妊娠破裂死亡尸检病例进行分析.结果死亡病例以31～34岁之间居多,职业以农民、个体户、待业多见.孕次和流产的关系分析表明,其妊娠破裂以生育过、怀孕2～4次、流产2～4次居多.危险因素以宫内安置节育环、不育症为主.输卵管妊娠死亡多发生在区级医院及个体卫生所,以菌痢治疗多见.尸解所见均为腹腔积血,病理观察见绒毛组织结构,且符合失血性休克的病理改变.结论孕龄期妇女应注意月经期,出现闭经及腹部不适症状应急时到医院做检查,医院同时应做HCG检查及B超检查以便做出正确诊断及治疗.     

What Past Is Present?

The article deals with new modes of representation of Croatian contemporary history. It argues that the Croatian grand narrative of the twentieth century is presented as the continuous fight of Croats for their nation-state. All historical events in the narrative are appraised as beneficial or harmful only in how they contributed to the creation of the state. The pattern of representation in heavily ethnocentric. The constructed self-image of the Croatian nation portrays Croats as humiliated and repressed by various others in the twentieth century. Croats are represented as the victims of other national groups and of history. The notion of historical responsibility is nonexistent for the analysed period.     

从检察制度的历史与比较论我国检察官之定位与保障

改革开放以来,我国与国际社会交流频繁,特别是受美国制度影响,一直有将检察官行政官化的呼声。但是,从检察制度的历史渊源以及各国检察官类型的比较研究可以得知,纯粹行政官化的检察官并不契合我国社会。我国应将检察官定位为司法官,并仿效大陆法系国家,给予其充分的身份保障。     

The Reuse of Public Sector Information in Europe and Its Impact on Transparency

The dissemination of public sector information is not carried out exclusively by public administration. A significant proportion of public sector information constitutes the raw material used by the content industry to offer goods and services and by citizens to provide richer information. In the European Union, Directive 2003/98/EC on the reuse of public sector information establishes a set of rules governing the reuse of public sector information. Although this rule is not intended to provide greater transparency, the re‐use of public sector information could have this effect. This article sets out the European policy on public sector information reuse and it looks in depth at the content of Spanish Act 37/2007, of 16 November, about the reuse of public sector information, as a case study, outlining some of the instruments that have been used in Spain as well as in other Member States to promote the reuse of public sector information.
