Battle of Femininity: romantic heroines and modern sexuality in the interwar middlebrow women's novel

Focusing on Rosamond Lehmann's The Weather in the Streets, Rose Macaulay's Dangerous Ages and E. H. Young's William, this article examines the representation of young romantic heroines in the context of emergent discourses on women's sexuality, marriage and motherhood. It is argued that these heroines, ambivalent and tentative in their quest for sexual modernity, represent the middlebrow's moral stance that reflects the paradoxical attitude of the interwar era towards modern women. A juxtaposition of these texts reveals a battle of varying versions of femininity, while a fine balance is mediated between the progressive and conservative ends of the middlebrow spectrum of values.

社区是预防青少年违法犯罪的重要载体,也是联结相关预防单元的重要单位。尤其在市场经济条件下,社区在预防青少年违法犯罪方面的作用愈加突出。因此,青少年违法犯罪的社区预防工作应该形成一个动态的系统,注重“七化”建设,从而通过其自身所特有的机制来充分发挥在预防青少年违法犯罪方面的功能。     

BETWEEN POSITIVISM AND POSTMODERNISM:

A growing body of scholarship has pointed to the problems of positivist assumptions that underlie policy analysis. Scholars have noted that neither the ends nor the methods by which judgments are derived are unambiguous or value-free. In the place of a positivist epistemology, some scholars have argued for a view of policy analysis as a rhetorical activity. In this view, the analyst becomes a participant in strategies of persuasion in-which the reasons for decisions are rhetorically constructed. Neither view, though, provides an adequate basis upon which the analyst is to form judgments that can claim public validity. In this essay, we draw on the work of Hannah Arendt whochallenges the distinction between “subjectivity” and “objectivity” upon which much of the contemporary debate hinges. Arendt argues for a notion of “impartiality” that arises from the imagining of other perspectives. In this way, the validity of judgments depends on a broadened perspective gained through a grasping of particulars. It is within this context that we can understand the importance of narratives in policy evaluation and judgment.

张家港市2011-2013年医疗执业行政处罚案件分析

为了解张家港市近年来医疗执业行政处罚案件的发生特点、存在原因和发展趋势,为下阶段工作提供系统科学的监管方案。本文采用SPSS18统计软件进行资料整理并进行描述性数据统计分析。结果提示,260起行政处罚案件中医疗机构违法执业案件34起,占13.1%;无证行医案件226起,占86.9%。医疗行业案件分布情况与各镇区的外来人口密度、医疗资源分布情况紧密相联,外来人口所占比重排名靠前的金港、塘桥、杨舍3镇,其非法行医发生率为各镇区中最高。医疗机构的违法违规案件,大部分发生在一级民营医疗机构,反映了部分一级民营医疗机构依法执业意识淡薄,管理上存在严重漏洞,受利益驱动,出租承包,导致违规低俗宣传广告、超科目诊疗等违规活动发生。本次分析得出结论:从案件来源反映出对医疗机构的监督深度和广度不够及无证行医打击难度不断加大。

"独立实体原则"与"单一企业原则"是跨国企业集团破产的两种处理方法。"独立实体原则"坚持集团各实体结构独立、责任独立;"单一企业原则"将整个集团看作一体。两种方法在不同类型的跨国企业集团破产中都发挥着自身的作用。     

1982年宪法以来国家机构的发展与经验

美国撤兵伊拉克、增兵阿富汗政策探析
