Suicide by exposure to sulfuryl fluoride

The insecticide fumigant, sulfuryl fluoride, was used as an instrument of self destruction in at least two of the three fatal exposures detailed in this report. The autopsy findings, while nonspecific, have a confirmatory value. Toxicologic analysis should include a plasma and a urine fluoride level, since the toxic effects of exposure are probably related to this ion. Concentrations of fluoride in our cases were: 50.42 mg/L (Case 1) and 20 mg/L (Case 3). However, the values must be interpreted in light of all known information as a result of the paucity of reported cases of fatal sulfuryl fluoride exposures. The cases described provide a model for the investigation of tent fumigation deaths. Proper investigation of fumigant deaths requires knowledge of the insecticide, the fumigation procedure, and the implementation of warning devices. Guidelines are offered along with a procedural checklist for the investigation of tent fumigation deaths.     

Priority of multiple gunshot injuries of the skull

In accordance with Puppe's rule, the analysis of skull fractures may provide evidence on the sequence in which multiple blunt injuries of the skull occurred. In cases of multiple gunshot wounds of the skull determination of the sequence in which the gunshot wounds took place is much more difficult. In some cases, however, analysis of the skull fractures here can also allow the order in which gunshot wounds occurred to be established.

论经济制度与道德的逻辑协调性

与计划经济制度相适应的道德和与市场经济制度相适应的道德不一样。当计划经济制度和与市场经济相协调的道德匹配时,会导致社会产出大幅度低于可能的最大产出,出现短缺经济;当市场经济制度和与计划经济相适应的道德匹配时,会导致市场制度不能最大限度的发挥效率和社会信用的缺失。我国的经济制度向市场经济转型后,要重视道德与经济制度的不适应,促进道德观念的变迁,尽快协调道德观念与经济制度。     

Transnational Competence in an Emergent Epoch

The article elaborates a framework for understanding the relevance of transnational competence to the dynamics that mark the transformations of our time. Nongovernmental stakeholders interacting through dense civil-society networks that permeate domestic-foreign frontiers bear increasing responsibility for the course of events. Based on linked interests, interorganizational knowledge generation and aggregation, partnerships, and interpersonal/intercultural interactions, they are deeply involved in addressing the many challenges posed by an ever more interdependent world. Transnational competence lubricates transterritorial networks and projects. Here, the authors extend earlier work that posited a worldwide skill revolution both by developing explicit dimensions of transnational competence and by introducing a behavioral component. The new framework provides analytical groundwork for explaining why some people, groups, and networks are more effective than others in forging meaningful transnational solidarities, negotiating and benefiting from the intensifying experience of globalization, and waging successful transnational campaigns. The article also probes how the spread of transnational competence is being facilitated by global migration and transmigration trends. The final section explores the governance implications of expanding transnational competency for the emergent epoch.     

晚年恩格斯的社会新思考及其效应--纪念恩格斯逝世110周年

19世纪80年代至90年代,步入晚年的恩格斯对资本主义社会发生的新情况进行了研究,并进而在马克思社会学说基本原则的基础上,对无产阶级及其政党在当时的工作、无产阶级解放斗争的目标和策略提出了新的看法。这些看法一方面体现了恩格斯与时俱进的理论品格,另一方面也为第二国际及以后马克思主义社会学说开启了探索之门。     

UPLC-MS/MS法同时检测全血中16种除草剂

目的建立全血中16种除草剂的超高效液相色谱-串联质谱(UPLC-MS/MS)同时检测方法,为除草剂中毒案事件及其他刑事案件血液中该16种除草剂的检验鉴定提供依据。方法取200μL的血液,加入800μL乙腈-水(体积比80/20),进行蛋白沉淀后,采用Acquity BEH C18(2.1mm×100mm,1.7μm)色谱柱,以水(5mmol/L的甲酸铵,0.1%的甲酸)-乙腈为流动相进行梯度洗脱,采用电喷雾离子源(ESI)、多反应监测(MRM)正离子模式对16种化合物进行检测。结果在1~200ng/mL范围内线性关系良好,R2均大于0.996;基质效应(ME%)为85.2%~104.4%,相对标准偏差(RSD%)为0.72%~4.84%;仪器检出限(IDLs)为0.2~2 ng/mL(信噪比S/N≥3),方法检出限(MDLs)为0.5~3ng/mL(信噪比S/N≥3),最低定量限(LOQs)为1~7ng/mL(信噪比S/N≥10)。结论本实验建立的全血中16种除草剂同时检验方法,前处理简便快捷、回收率高、精密度好、方法检出限低,可作为该16种除草剂中(投)毒案件的检验方法。     

Algeria's Roles in the OAU/African Union: From National Liberation Promoter to Leader in the Global War on Terrorism

Even prior to the country's independence, Africa has always been central to Algeria's foreign policy. Algerian nationalists not only found support on the African continent in their struggle for independence, but they also sought to contribute to the decolonization of Africa and to free it from all forms of neocolonialism. Algerian diplomacy became even more involved in African affairs after independence. Using the Role Approach, this article shows how Algerian policymakers exercised various roles within the structures of the Organization of African Unity and, to this day, in those of the African Union to serve the country's perceived national interests. While from the 1960s through the 1990s, Algerians played the roles of developer, mediator, and anti-imperialist, since the 1990s, they have played the role of antiterrorist in order partly to regain the credibility that the regime had lost during the domestic civil strife. The antiterrorist role has been relatively successful as the country succeeded in greatly improving its relations with the West, the United States in particular. At the same time, though, this had led to a relative neglect of Algeria's bilateral relations with African states which allowed its regional rivals to fill the vacuum. However, since 2013, Algeria has shown some resolve in reclaiming its influence on the continent and to strengthen the role it has played in the structures of the African Union.     

残缘璃眼蜱subolesin基因的原核表达及表达产物的反应原性分析

为研究残缘璃眼蜱subolesin基因的生物学特性以及寻找新的抗蜱和蜱传病疫苗候选抗原,根据GenBank上登录的小亚璃眼蜱subolesin基因核苷酸序列设计特异性引物,以残缘璃眼蜱、亚洲璃眼蜱、微小牛蜱的饥饿成蜱cDNA为模板,扩增出subolesin基因的完整阅读框(ORF)。将残缘璃眼蜱subolesin基因的PCR产物经EcoRⅠ+NotⅠ双酶切后连接至表达载体pGEX-4T-1,把重组质粒pGEX-4T-1-subolesin导入感受态细胞BL21(DE3)中,在37℃、1mmol/L IPTG条件下诱导表达。利用SDS-PAGE分析subolesin基因的体外表达特征;用Western-blot分析Subolesin蛋白的反应原性。结果显示,残缘璃眼蜱、亚洲璃眼蜱、微小牛蜱subolesin基因的ORF长度分别为492、492、486bp,分别编码163、163、161个氨基酸。subolesin基因序列和推导的氨基酸序列的比对结果显示,残缘璃眼蜱、亚洲璃眼蜱、微小牛蜱与参考的小亚璃眼蜱的核苷酸序列同源性分别为98%、98%、89%,氨基酸序列同源性分别为98%、99%、93%。SDS-PAGE和Western-blot结果显示,重组残缘璃眼蜱Subolesin蛋白的分子质量为45ku,纯化的subolesin重组抗原可与抗残缘璃眼蜱全蜱血清、残缘璃眼蜱唾液腺、卵巢血清有较强的反应原性。
