家兔死后红细胞内钾钠离子含量与死亡时间的关系

研究了40只家兔死后不同时间心血红细胞内钾钠离子含量变化及红细胞膜Na+－K+－ATP酶活性。发现红细胞内钾离子含量随死亡时间增加呈线性下降（r=-0．829,P＜0．025）。在死后0－48小时,红细胞内钾离子含量与死亡时间显著相关。红细胞膜Na+－K+－ATP酶活性在死后48小时无显著变化。     

Study on assessments of injury grade in 203 cases of traffic accident

The assessments of victims' injury grade in 203 cases of traffic accidents were reviewed in this article, sorts of these traffic accidents and the best time for assessment of injury grade after traffic accident were also discussed.     

23例心腔内血栓形成的原因及病理学分析

对对例23内血栓形成的病理资料进行统计分析,发现有9例系全身广泛软组织损伤所致,13例系各种心脏疾病所致,两者间无显著性差异（P＞0．05）。外伤主要致心内白色血栓形成,且以右心腔好发（P＜0．001）;各种心脏疾病主要致混合血栓形成,左右心腔均可发生（P＞0．05）;心内血栓形成部位、血栓类型与原因间有高度相关性（P＜0．001）。本文结合文献,就心内血栓形成的原因、机理、和法医学鉴定要点等进行了讨论。     

Immunohistochemical research on brain stem injury: expression of heat shock protein 70 in rat brain after traumatic brain stem injury

The aim of this study was to determine the expression of heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) as molecular chaperones, following traumatic brain stem injury(TBSI). The expression of HSP70 was detected in respective brain regions of rats 1 h, 3 h, 6 h, 12 h, 24 h after brain stem stabbing wound. Numerous HSP70 immunoreactivity positive blood vessel endothelioid and glia cells were found in cerebral, cerebellar cortex and hippocampus after 1 h, with H.E stain unchanged. In the area near the focal of brain stem injury, HSP70 immunoreactivity positive neurons increased significantly after 1 h of injury, reaching the highest level after 3 h, much higher than in other areas. HSP70 immunoreactivity positive cells still existed after 24 h of injury. It was suggested that TBSI cause the defectiveness of protein structure in brain, and induce HSP70 proteolysis of denature protein including misfolding or aggregate. TBSI can be diagnosed regionally by the increasing of HSP70 immunoreactivity positive neurons in the focal of brain stems.     

Traumatic retina detachment and forensic medical identification

It is reported the result of the examination and identification of 6 cases with retina detachment. The reasons, characteristics of the traumatic retina detachment and the problems about forensic medical identification were discussed.     

Factors in prison suicide: one year study in Texas.

The goal of the study was to examine psychopathology and stressors suffered by suicide victims, and to describe the characteristics of the suicides in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice between June of 1996 to June of 1997. Data on 25 completed suicides were collected from the records department. Results: The authors identified 60% of the suicide victims with a history of psychiatric disorders. Seventy-six percent had been diagnosed with psychiatric disorders while incarcerated. The most frequent psychiatric disorders were mood disorders (64%), psychotic disorders (44%), personality disorders (56%), and comorbidity with a history of presentencing alcohol and drug abuse was common. Most of the victims experienced chronic and/or acute stressors of acute trauma, disrupted relationship, sentence hearing, and/or medical condition. We concluded that important factors associated with increased risk of prison suicide include psychiatric disorders, comorbid substance abuse, a history of suicide attempt, and chronic and/or acute stressors.     

Comment: litigation involving manufacturers' liability for defective medical products: judicial perspectives.

In this Comment, Judge Rosenn discusses, from a judicial perspective, the development of manufacturer's liability for defective medical products, with particular attention to the evolution of the strict liability doctrine, the courts' willingness to apply that doctrine to medical manufacturers, and recent suggestions for seriated trials as a means of more effective resolution of the complex litigation that arises in cases of alleged faculty design of medical products.
