OBJECT: The aim of this study was the examination of relationship between the age and the ossification of medial epiphysis of the clavicle referred to CT examination. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Concerning the epiphyseal ossification of the clavicle CT's of 100 patients (50 male and 50 female) between 16 and 25 years (10 patients for each year) were analyzed by three viewers. RESULTS: In the legal relevant age segment (16-25a) we saw a turnover from stage 3 to stage 4 at the age of 21 years. The calculated empiric distribution function showed 95% of stage 4 over 21 years while 75% of the patients with stage 3 were under 21 years. A reconstruction kernel suitable for osseous structures should be used, images should be viewed or presented in a bone window. CONCLUSION: According to these results it can be concluded that a person with stage 4 is probably 21 years or older, while a stage 3 leads to an estimated age under 21 years. On the other hand, a confidence level of 99.67% is not reached. Therefore, CT of the medial epiphysis of the clavicle will only be suitable for age estimation around the age of 21 years, if this relevant statistic obstacle is defeated. Bearing this in mind, further studies are needed to evaluate slice thickness as the most critical parameter. 相似文献

One hundred and fifty-five cord cells were tested for the red blood cell antigens Lua, Lub and Cob in order to collect data on the early postnatal expression of these markers. Additionally, dosage studies were carried out in 8–10-month-old heterozygous children. Despite the significant role that skin color plays in material well-being and social perceptions, scholars know little if
anything about whether skin color and afrocentric features influence political cognition and behavior and specifically, if
intraracial variation in addition to categorical difference affects the choices of voters. Do more phenotypically black minorities
suffer an electoral penalty as they do in most aspects of life? This study investigates the impact of color and phenotypically
black facial features on candidate evaluation, using a nationally representative survey experiment of over 2000 whites. Subjects
were randomly assigned to campaign literature of two opposing candidates, in which the race, skin color and features, and
issue stance of candidates was varied. I find that afrocentric phenotype is an important, albeit hidden, form of bias in racial
attitudes and that the importance of race on candidate evaluation depends largely on skin color and afrocentric features.
However, like other racial cues, color and black phenotype don’t influence voters’ evaluations uniformly but vary in magnitude
and direction across the gender and partisan makeup of the electorate in theoretically explicable ways. Ultimately, I argue,

The balanced scorecard is a performance measurement matrix designed to capture financial and non-financial metrics that provide insight into the critical success factors for an organization, effectively aligning organization strategy to key performance objectives. The scorecard helps organizational leaders by providing balance from two perspectives. First, it ensures an appropriate mix of performance metrics from across the organization to achieve operational excellence; thereby the balanced scorecard ensures that no single or limited group of metrics dominates the assessment process, possibly leading to long-term inferior performance. A badly decomposed body required identification by means of DNA analysis. A brother and sister of the deceased were available as reference subjects. Although investigation of Y-chromosomal markers established an exclusion condition, autosomal markers suggested a positive identification. In order to increase the reliability of the tests, X-chromosomal markers were also investigated. This analysis showed the body to have an XXY genotype (Klinefelter's syndrome). A number of hypotheses were assessed using biostatistical methods, ultimately resulting in a definite identification.
