International Energy Situation

The international energy situation has entered a new phase of change and readjustment. On the one hand, while imbalances in petroleum market supply-demand have been alleviated , the consuming states are now focusing on demand side management and development of new and renewable energy. There has been great progress in international energy security dialogue and cooperation. On the other hand , supply-demand market balance remains fragile , and restrictions due to insufficient energy investment are more evident. The concerned states have taken a stronger grip over their own resources. Implementation of energy diplomacy has also further complicated the relationship between energy and geo-politics, causing an upsurge of competition.     

论贿赂外国公职人员、国际公共组织官员罪

贿赂外国公职人员、国际公共组织官员罪是《联合国反腐败公约》所确立的国际犯罪,它包括对外国公职人员、国际公共组织官员行贿罪和外国公职人员、国际公共组织官员受贿罪两个具体罪名。从理论与实践角度考虑,我国刑法中应增设对外国公职人员、国际公共组织官员行贿罪,而不宜增设外国公职人员、国际公共组织官员罪受贿罪。对外国公职人员、国际公共组织官员行贿罪应置于我国刑法典分则第二章破坏社会主义市场经济秩序罪中,贿赂范围应扩大至财物、财产性利益和非财产性利益。     

“所有权-直接支配权”的变异

传统民法理论认为,所有权是直接支配物的权利.随着社会的发展进步,生产力的不断提高,所有权的这一特征已经出现变异.当代社会所有权的特征,在更多的场合和更大的范围上呈现出由直接支配物到间接支配物、由对物的支配到对人的行为的支配的发展趋势.所有权析支配权的观念已难以完全适应现代经济生活的需要,应当进行新的表述.

Court Awards of Damages for Loss of Future Earnings: An Empirical Study and an Alternative Method of Calculation

This article examines the effect upon damages for personal injury of methods used in the United States of America to calculate loss of future earnings. The work of lawyers is examined from the perspective of labour economists. The damages calculated by using these alternative methods are compared with those actually awarded in over a hundred cases determined by courts in England and Wales. This interdisciplinary and comparative study reveals that the tort system fails to satisfy one of its main objectives in that it does not provide recipients of damages with 'full' compensation.

情理（情、人情、世情、性情、人情物理）是明清小说批评的重要范畴之一，情，指人的主观情感，有时偏重于指男女之情；理，事理，主要是指事物的客观规律。大部分小说评点家追求情与理的融合与统一，以情理作为评价作品、臧否人物的重要（甚至是唯一）标准。本主要情理观念在小说的创作目的与艺术效果、作品的真实性、人物性格塑造等三个方面的表现。

US Military and Economic Intervention in an International Context of Low-intensity Conflict

Recent major shifts in US military thinking, creating a new low-intensity conflict (LIC) doctrine, have resulted already in significant changes in organization, mission definition, force structure and budgetary allocation. These changes have come about because American leadership recognizes that the process of deindustrialization has produced a vulnerable, highly integrated and interdependent global economic system. This system of economic rationalization is susceptible to anti-western disruptions because of the instability produced by rapid social change, a consequence of the competition from the newly industrialized nations. LIC capability is viewed as a necessary means for dealing with disruptions.
