北京市强污染日下的逆温层结构分析

针对１９９８年９月,１９９９年１月和６月间发生的强污染日,利用探空气象资料分析其发生的气象原因,发现湿度较大条件下的接地逆温和多层逆温是造成强污染日的气象原因,并分析了强污染日气象条件下的污染物积累浓度和大气能见度分布。     

略论十世纪前来华梵僧

公元前后直至十世纪,是佛教在中国的集中发展期,也是中印间文化交往的繁荣期。在此过程中,梵僧持续不断地来到中国,担当着佛教文化传播者的重要角色,对佛教在中国的确立、发展以及伴随这一过程的中印文化交往起到了极大的推动作用。

AGE,DIFFERENTIAL EXPECTATIONS,AND CRIME DESISTANCE*

We specify an individual-level model linking crime desistance to estimates of legal risk, differential expectations, degree of past success at legitimate and criminal pursuits, and age. OLS and logistic regression procedures are used to estimate the model using longitudinal data on serious, previously imprisoned offenders. As predicted, age decreases estimates of the likely payoffs from crime and legitimate employment. Contrary to predictions, age is unrelated to the perceived legal risk of renewed criminal participation. Age, past success at avoiding confinement, expectations of success from crime, and level of education are significant predictors of crime desistance. Neither the perceived legal risk of crime nor expectations of success through straight pursuits significantly predict desistance. We suggest an interpretation for these anomalous findings.     

论精神病人强制医疗诉讼程序的构建

我国刑法规定的精神病人强制医疗制度存在性质不清、适用对象单一、适用条件模糊、决定主体不明以及适用程序缺失等问题,致使这一制度的现实运行缺乏程序保障。构建科学、完备的强制医疗诉讼程序,既符合正当程序和人权保障的要求,也有利于发挥医疗救助和社会防卫之功能。我国刑事诉讼法应对强制医疗的适用对象、条件、程序的启动、法庭审理以及裁判和救济等基本程序作出规定,以实现强制医疗制度的司法化和诉讼化。     

The identification of a dismembered human body: a multidisciplinary approach

A criminal case was directed to a multidisciplinary forensic team for identification, concerning a victim whose head, having two gunshot wounds, had been separated by a sharp instrument and was recovered 6 months later. The purpose of this research was to determine the sex and age of the victim for human identification. Primarily, macroscopic examination of the skull, tooth, and DNA analysis was conducted for sex determination. A rough assessment of age was made from the skull based on anthropological findings, however a more definitive result of age estimation was determined utilizing dental morphology. The dental data showed an age range of 32-37 from the mineral examination and the formulation of microscopic measurements. The results obtained from the skull and dental analysis matched with the physical characteristics of the victim's body, the known personal data of this person, and with the superposition of the photos gathered by a formal request. Besides, the result of DNA profiling of the victim showed male gender and direct relationship with the victim's presumed wife and daughter. Generally, research on human identification consists of sex and age determination. The sex characteristics can be precisely proved from DNA tests. However, age can be estimated by skeletal, and dental analysis. In this case the performed sex and age analysis lead the research to the selective matching of the missing person's identity.     

Sudden, unexpected death due to cardiac fibroma. Report of a case and review of the literature

A case of cardiac fibroma in a 58-year-old woman with a history of atrioventricular block is described. The patient died suddenly at home 6 days following the insertion of a pacemaker. Review of the pertinent literature is presented.
