The Arab World Attempts Third Revival

Many theories have been put forward to explain the civil unrest that erupted across the Middle East and North Africa at the beginning of this year. The author of this paper believes that seen from an historical perspective the unrest was an attempt by the Arab world to stage a third revival.     

China and Asia： Prospects for Common Development

Asia’s rise has caused waves in terms of both geopolitics and the global economy in the 21st Century. Its rise is also poised to heavily influence future global growth. Many scholars are talking about the eastwards migration of global power and debating who will emerge as a leading power in Asia. While the rise has caused rifts in regional cooperation mechanisms it has also created many channels for Asia’s development path. How should we look at Asia’s rise? How can we ride these changes and how can we create a win-win situation for all Asian countries? How do we ensure that Asia has a bright future? These questions merit the careful attention of academics in political and economic fields in China, Asia and the rest of the world.     

Activities of the governing bodies

Civil society play roles at every point in the development of conflict and its resolution: from surfacing situations of injustice to preventing violence, from creating conditions conducive to peace talks to mediating a settlement and then promoting it, from setting a policy agenda to healing war-scarred psyches. After situating civil society peacebuilding roles in the policy context and highlighting several critiques, this article concentrates on charting the specific functions civil society can play, focusing on initiatives by actors from a conflict zone and their external supporters. It concludes identifying several recommendations and areas in need of further research.

This article examines the provisions of the new UK Electronic Communications Act 2000 and concludes that there has been a missed opportunity. The author considers that further changes will be needed to support the reality of E-business development in the UK.

为了适应新形势下枪弹检验工作的需要,我中心枪弹处于1997、1998年分别购置了一批新型枪支.其中有13种配用9mm×19mm巴拉贝鲁姆手枪弹的新型手枪,它们分别是213型9毫米手枪、213A型9毫米手枪、七七B型9毫米手枪、七七B2型9毫米手枪、NP20型9毫米手枪、NP22型9毫米手枪、NP28型9毫米手枪、NP38型9毫米手枪、201C型9毫米手枪和NZ75型9毫米手枪.为了让更多的同行了解这13种新型手枪发射子弹的弹壳上的主要痕迹特征,我们制作了一些样本.由于每种枪仅购置了一支,故本文所介绍的有些痕迹特征究竟属于种类特征,抑或是个别特征,还有待于作进一步的实验和研究.将13种枪支划分为5组分别进行论述:一组:213型、213A型;
