描述的规定规则

描述具有一个非常重要的性质:规范性。描述的规范性指的是由于描述必须以相应的规定为前提而具有这样一种性质:它们总是包含约定俗成或明确设定的标准,而这些标准又总是具有典型的人类学特征。描述的这一重要性质,决定了它必须遵循特定的规则:规定规则。描述的规定规则包括:在一定规定的基础上建立起来的描述不能用于这一规定本身,更不能超出这一规定;同一描述所涉及的规定之间、描述和作为其前提的规定之间不能相冲突。违反这些规则会导致不合法描述。人类认识史上的许多认识迷误都与不合法的描述有关,悖论就是描述违反规则的结果。描述与作为自身前提的规定之间以及描述所涉及的规定之间相冲突是悖论产生的最终根源。
