一个时代的荣辱观,是一个时代主导的世界观、人生观、价值观的重要内容。胡锦涛总书记提出的“八荣八耻”的社会主义荣辱观,集中体现了社会主义基本道德规范的本质要求。在一定意义上说,荣辱观反映着人们的思想状况和社会进步的程度。倡导什么样的荣辱观,不仅体现着社会的价值导向,标志着社会的文明程度,而且还直接影响着社会风气。当今,在时代变革、经济转轨、机遇与挑战并存的形势下,树立和大力倡导社会主义荣辱观,加强社会主义思想道德建设,引领多元、多变、多样的社会意识,牢固确立全国人民团结奋斗的共同思想基础,形成积极健康向上的社会风尚,是百姓的殷切期盼,更是历史发展的必然。
