The history and tradition of Quyi （storytelling with music and periormance） are among the longest and most profound of China＇s folk art forms. Having evolved over centuries and centuries from folk oral literature and singing, Quyi is the catch-all name of various ＂art forms of talking and singing＂ in China. For millennia Quyi has been the vehicle by which Chinese people of whatever ethnic group have expressed their way of life and revealed their inner feelings.

Reindeer-drawn Carts in Ancient Rock Paintings
The Artic region and the extreme north of Europe are important habitats for reindeer. In winter you may perhaps spot a reindeer-drawn sleigh speed away over the vast snow-carpeted expanses. But in ancient times such a sight was not uncommon in the Altar. This region was once a reindeer habitat too. as is demonstrated by the very precious rock paintings discovered in Handelate （Mongolian for elk） Valley, home of the Uriankhai people for centuries.     

Civil Laws and the Regulations in Miao Minority Areas

The Miao ethnic minority can be found living in China＇s Guizhou, Hunan, Yunnan. Siehuan. Guangxi, Hubei and Hainan provinces. There are large areas of settlement insoutheastern Guizhou and along the borders of Hubei, Sichuan, Guizhou and Hunan （predominantly in western Hunan）. Smaller areas of settlement also exist in Guangxi＇s Damiao Mountain, the Yunnan-Guizhou-Guangxi borders, the Sichuan-Guizhou-Yunnan borders, and also in Hainan.

On the boundless Axier grassland, below Mount Taishan Taerbaha in the city of Tacheng in Xinjiang, these words came from an elderly Daur man named Jiazi, singing melodiously of his native place, accompanying himself on a mandolin.

New Railway to Boost Southern Xinjiang Economy

<正>The Ku-E Railway(between Kuqa and Ehobulake)in southern Xinjiang has recently gone into service.The line is designed to transport coal from Ehobulake to power stations in Kashgar in southern Xinjiang and to boost the local economy.The line is located in Kuqa County,Aksu Prefecture of southern Xinjing.It starts its 86-km route from the east part of Kuqa West Railway Station and terminates at Ehobulake Station,crossing national highways 314 and 217
