Rising Above Past Bitterness

JAPANESE products and billboards advertising them, are seen everywhere in China's larger cities, other than Nanjing that is. Whilst in Nanjing recently I did see the odd Lexus and Mazda on the city's tree-shaded roads, and one or two books by Japanese writer Haruki Murakami at the Xinhua Book Store by Xuanwu Lake. There were also large amounts of Japanese-brand digital products on sale at the downtown shopping center, but all were marked "Made in China."
