Although past research has developed scales for the incidence, prevalence, and fear of student-on-student victimization (SSV),
little is known about the scaling of perceived risk (i.e., the cognitive appraisal of the chances of experiencing SSV). Hence,
this study examined self-report survey data for the perceived risk of SSV as measured in the Adolescent Index for School Safety
(AISS). Children in grades 7 through 10 (n=337) in a single Florida public school completed the AISS. Factor analyses using
Maximum Likelihood Estimation with Oblimin Rotation identified nine unique factors for perceived risk. Reliability analyses
found standardized Cronbach Alphas that ranged from .64 to .91, and seven out of the nine identified scales were above .80,
which suggested good to excellent internal consistency. Future research should examine the content validity, construct validity,
and predictive validity for the AISS and other self-report surveys of SSV dynamics.

This article considers recent attempts to reform German federalism, the failed 2004 reform, and the reforms agreed in 2006 and 2009. It compares partisan, ideological and territorial factors which contribute to an understanding of reform, finding that all three have a role in explaining actors’ views of reform proposals. Two other claims are developed: that in some aspects of the reforms, a division between ‘generalist’ and ‘subject specialist’ politicians became apparent; and that a decisive change between 2004 and 2006 was the formation of a grand coalition at a federal level, which paved the way for agreement upon reform proposals. 相似文献

In the present longitudinal 3-wave study of 1274 adolescents and young adults, aged 12–24 at the 1st wave, it is examined
whether youngsters from intact versus postdivorce families show long-term differences in internalizing and externalizing problems.
Furthermore, possible differences in the development of this problem behavior between offspring from intact and postdivorce
families are examined, i.e., possible differences in growth curves of internalizing and externalizing problems are investigated.
Longitudinal multilevel analyses reveal long-term differences in internalizing and externalizing problems according to family
structure. Adolescents and young adults growing up in postdivorce families display more internalizing and externalizing problem
behavior than youngsters of intact families. The development of these 2 types of problem behavior does not differ by gender
or family structure. That is, the shape of the growth curves of internalizing and externalizing problem behavior is similar
for boys and girls and also for youngsters from intact and postdivorce families.

The use of Internet filters in public classrooms in the USA has been intensely debated, both in terms of its effectiveness and legality. The debate pits concerns to protect students from indecent material against issues of unconstitutional censorship. This paper examines the legal issues addressed in various rulings by the US Supreme Court pertinent to issues raised in the debate over the constitutionality of filtering in the classroom. There has been much debate regarding basic police training and its effect on the attitudes of police recruits. Some critics
argue that academy training creates negative attitudes in police recruits that favor arrest and crime attack orientations.
The data presented in this article suggest that police recruits from a large urban police training program possess attitudes
unfavorable toward crime attack or strict enforcement policing roles. The article examines a Los Angeles Police Department
recruit training class, and the perceptions these recruits have toward selected policing roles. The study suggests police
