Toward a holistic paradigm for Asian American Women's Studies: A synthesis of feminist scholarship and women of color's feminist politics

In this paper I propose a Women's Studies method for an Asian American Studies curriculum by incorporating a women-centred feminist historical approach and a holistic feminist anthropological approach with American women of color's feminist politics with an emphasis on the interconnectedness of sexism, racism, classism and homophobia in the American social systems and cultural ideologies.My work is based on the belief that an Asian American Women's Studies method must be founded on a feminist politics which is specifically derived from their own definition of themselves and feminism which are based on multiple consciousness raising and multiple identities of gender, race, ethnicity, class and sexuality.     

The political economy of Taiwan's mainland policy

The emerging patterns of the cross‐strait interaction present a perplexing duality, revealing both the trends toward closer economic convergence and greater political divergence. Taiwan's mainland policy is both the manifestation and the catalyst of the two contradictory processes. It is the locus of confrontation of the various economic, social, and political forces that propels the two concurrent processes. It has been propelled by the epic changes in the global political economy, the market‐oriented reform in China, and Taiwan's economic restructuring process. It has also been prompted by the perceived challenges and opportunities brought about by the transition to the post‐Cold War era, the unraveling of structural conflicts between a status‐quo power (i.e., the US) and a rising power (i.e., the PRC) and by the politics of political succession within the CCP. In more immediate terms, it has been driven by the power struggle over political succession within the KMT, the bureaucratic process, the interest group politics, the partisan politics in both the electoral and legislative arenas, and the unfolding of the national identity crisis during Taiwan's recent transition to democracy.

论和谐社会的法治构建

和谐社会不仅是人与人之间、人与社会之间的和谐,也是人与自然之间的和谐。社会主义和谐社会是一种各尽其能、尊重诉求、各得其所、和谐相处和共生共进的社会。法治不仅是和谐社会的重要内容,而且也是社会主义和谐社会最终实现的有力保障,我国现阶段实现构建和谐社会的战略目标应将法治作为基本的方针策略。     

赣水苍茫苏区行——记党史学家石仲泉与弘扬赣南党史

为了研究和宣传好中央苏区的历史,充分发挥赣南党史资源的优势,近几年来,赣南加大了中央苏区历史研究宣传的力度。从2001年起,我们连续与中央党史等部门联合召开了4次全国性的理论研讨会,聚集了一批来自全国各地的党史专家学者对其历史价值,特别是苏区精神进行再认识,作新的挖掘。2001年11月,石仲泉至瑞金出席纪念中华苏维埃共和国成立70周年理论研讨会,这是他首次来到赣南。这次研讨会后,石仲泉对赣南10个县(市、区)党史作实地考

房地产业中的地方政府有限理性"经济人"行为

房地产"热"已是不争的事实.鉴于房地产业在国计民生、经济社会发展以及政府目标达成等方面的重要性,地方政府对其进行全面控制."经济人"本性使地方政府做出的种种有限理性行为,是导致房地产"热"的重要原因.因此,如何有效治理地方政府的"经济人"行为是为房地产"退烧"的关键所在.     

略论发起人违反出资义务时对公司承担民事责任的性质

发起人违反出资义务是指发起人违反发起人协议和公司章程的约定,不履行或者不按约定履行对公司承担的交付出资财产义务的行为。发起人违反出资义务会产生对其他守约发起人、公司以及特定情形下的公司债权人的民事责任。从现行民商事立法看,发起人违反出资义务时对公司承担的民事责任在性质上并非违约责任、侵权责任或者违约责任与侵权责任的竞合,而是一种公司法上的特殊的独立的债不履行责任。当然,如果将来相关民商事立法有较大的修订则另当别论。
