The Effectiveness of Using New Instructors to Teach an LGBT Ally Development Course

We examined student responses to three new instructors who taught a lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) ally development course as described in a study by Ji, Finnessy, and Dubois (2009). Our analysis of the responses indicated that students did improve as LGBT allies in ways similar to those reported in the 2009 study. The findings suggest that the course could be disseminated provided that instructors actively encouraged students to engage in experiences that develop their LGBT ally identities.     

China’s National Security Commission: theory,evolution and operations

The establishment of the National Security Commission (NSC) of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is a major regrouping of the top CCP power structure, a ‘New Deal’ in Xi Jinping’s endeavor to revitalize China. In full operation it will reshape Beijing’s national security (NS) decision-making process concerning the formulation of national security strategies, crisis management at home and abroad, coordination of national security policies and actions by Party/army/state agencies and institutional links with its foreign national security counterparts. This article argues that the NSC will primarily address the Party’s internal security concerns, which is the key link to its efforts to strike a new balance between various security typologies. It analyses Beijing’s securitization guidance and practice and constructs its organizational structure and functions.     

电警棍致皮肤损伤的实验研究

本研究系用电警棍电击实验动物（猪），观察电击部位的皮肤喷涂金属显色剂后的颜色改变、组织学改变及金属含量的改变。结果表明，电警棍电击机体，不仅可致皮肤产生肉眼可见的损伤，而且可致皮肤细胞产生轻微的极化现象和皮肤金属化，这种金属化可通过金属显色剂喷涂和原子吸收分光光度计检测出来．本实验为电警棍电击伤的定性分析、检材的提取与处理提供了比较好的方法，有利于判定案件的性质和确定电警棍的种类。     

专家辅助人制度的现状、困境与改善建议-以浙江省为例的实证分析

新《刑事诉讼法》确立的专家辅助人制度对提高鉴定意见的质量,改革庭审方式和证据制度有着重要的意义,但因为法律仅对其作出了笼统的规定而没能发挥出应有的作用。通过对法律工作者的问卷调查发现,在专家辅助人的诉讼地位、专家辅助人的意见属性等问题上存在着较大的分歧,因此,要完善我国的专家辅助人制度,就要明确专家辅助人的独立诉讼地位,确保专家辅助人真正地参与到庭审的质证中来,才能达到这一制度设计的理想状态。     

人力资源视角下的高校青年教师职业发展研究

青年教师的职业发展是高校健康发展和增强竞争力的保证。如何良好管理青年教师的职业发展是我国关注的重要问题。通过分析我国高校青年教师职业发展规划管理特点与理念较为落后、机制有待完善的现状和存在的问题,借鉴西方的人力资源管理方法,提出通过完善高校教师发展中心的青年教师职业发展管理机制、建立健全青年教师职业发展的配套措施的解决办法,对促进我国青年教师职业规划良好管理具有重要的现实与理论意义。     

诊所法律教育:中国法律硕士培养制度改革的基本方向

中国法律硕士教育的宗旨是培养高级型复合型、实践性法律人才,然而其传统的注重课堂教授而忽视实践教育的教育方法和模式并不能完成这个目标。为了更好地培养法律硕士,有必要将诊所法律教育引入法律硕士教育。将诊所法律教育作为法律硕士教育的必修课有助于对法律硕士学生职业技能、职业道德的培养,也是诊所法律教育本土化和可持续发展的必然要求。诊所法律教育是中国法律硕士培养制度改革的基本方向。     

A method for quantifying mixed goat cashmere and sheep wool

Cashmere is a high-priced commodity in the world market. For financial gains, various interested parties often adulterate cashmere with cheap sheep wool. Here, we describe a method that can quickly extract mitochondrial DNA from natural or processed animal hair. We further designed two sets of TaqMan polymerase chain reaction (PCR) primers and probes that can react specifically to goat and sheep mitochondrial 12S ribosomal RNA (rRNA) genes. Using TaqMan PCR, we can not only distinguish between cashmere and wool but also quantify their contents in a cashmere/wool mixture. The method can be applied directly to examine the quality of cashmere products in the world markets.
