颅内出血体积测量方法的比较

目的探寻一种能够运用于法医临床学实践的测量颅内出血量的方法。方法比较多田公式、体视学技术和软件边界法测量颅内出血的准确性,并比较它们的实用性。结果体视学法和软件边界法的测量值是准确的,而多田公式测量不规则血肿误差很大。结论体视学法是法医临床学中测量颅内出血量最适用的方法。     

Investigation of class characteristics in English handwriting of the three main racial groups: Chinese, Malay and Indian in Singapore

This paper investigated the class characteristics in English handwriting of the Chinese, Malays and Indians in Singapore, many of whom learned their native language as a second language. One hundred and fifty-four handwriting exemplars were collected and features such as letter designs, pen-lifts, letter spacing and embellishments were studied. A number of characteristic features peculiar to the individual racial group were identified, which confirmed the impact of their native language writing systems on English handwriting.     

Electoral rules and manufacturing legislative supermajority: evidence from Singapore

Electoral authoritarian regimes usually preserve the dominance of the ruling party through electoral fraud, violence and intimidation. This paper focuses on the subtler forms of manipulation that undermine the electoral integrity and democratic outcomes. Specifically, we examine how an unusual electoral rule, involving multimember districts elected through plurality bloc voting for party slates, exaggerates the legislative seat shares of the People’s Action Party (PAP) in Singapore. This rule, used also by other electoral authoritarian regimes, facilitates the manipulation of district magnitude and gerrymandering, especially the ‘stacking’ form, to produce a large disproportionality which distorts the seats–votes linkage. It operates in an undemocratic fashion by precluding the opposition from gaining anything but token seats as long as the PAP remains the plurality-winning party. The importance of this electoral rule and its manipulation has been overlooked in current work that emphasises redistributive strategies or coercion to repress electoral competition.

The applications of MicroCT in studying age-related tooth morphological change and dental age estimation: A scoping review

Conventional dental age estimation relies on destructive methods such as sectioning and staining, which are unpreferable when the tooth is required for evidential or archeological preservation. MicroCT is a non-destructive, high-resolution imaging technique that allows for accurate morphometrical measurement. Although microCT technology has been applied in a variety of dental studies, studies focusing on dental age-related change and dental age estimation based on microCT imaging remain lacking. Based on the question: “How has microCT technology been applied in studying human age-related tooth morphological change and dental age estimation studies?”, the authors conducted a scoping review in accordance with the Arksey and O'Malley (2005) and the PRISMA-ScR guidelines. A literature search using five major scientific databases identified 452 articles, with 11 full-text articles being eligible to be included in the scoping review. Furthermore, 6 out of the 11 studies performed dental age estimation modeling. An overview of the parameters used in the selected articles revealed a variety of tooth characteristics, such as pulp cavity to whole tooth volume ratio, secondary dentin, as well as the diameter of root canal orifice. The findings of this scoping review highlight the extent microCT is used in studying dental age-related changes, as well as the effectiveness of microCT in dental age estimation studies. This review serves as a guide for future forensic odontology age estimation studies.

美国军事司法体制

美国军事司法体制直接起源于英国的《战争条款》,这种体制强调军事指挥官对军事司法程序的控制,军事司法的独立性、公正性很难得到保障。《统一军事司法法典》的颁行,加强了军事司法的法律之治和对正当程序因素的吸收,增强了军事法官的独立性,保障了被告人的程序权利,从多个方面限制和制约了军事指挥官对军事司法程序的过多干涉和非法影响。军事指挥权和军事司法权的相互制约型塑了美国军事司法体制的基本结构,同时决定了纪律、秩序功能和公平、正义功能指导军事立法和司法的双重属性。研究美国军事司法体制的历史、结构与功能,对于促进全球新军事变革视野中的我军军事司法体制改革,具有重要的借鉴意义和参考价值。
