Green citizenship: a review and critique

This paper reviews the literature on green citizenship and argues that the concept of citizenship has done much to advance green theory building internally but that in order to deepen an already substantial area of scholarship, promote a more inclusive and emancipatory environmental politics, and augment their contribution to the larger body of citizenship studies, greens will need to broaden their approach to the concept. This review highlights the tendency within green theorizing to privilege particular conceptions of the natural world and humans' relations to it, and draws attention to the work of those scholars explicitly engaged in incorporating the social construction of nature into their theories of green citizenship. The essay concludes by identifying three particular areas in which green theorizing has contributed to citizenship studies.

民族志:消费主义文化与当今人类问题

论文从民族志的视角,以交通工具之独轮车、汽车与高铁车辆发展的现实回答有关消费、消费主义文化与当今人类面临的问题,认为应对符号消费或者"凡勃伦效应"的出口在于践行"绿色消费"。     

Coping Alone: Examining the Prospects of Adolescent Victims of Child Abuse Placed in Foster Care

The ability of a young person to cope effectively with stressful life events appears to be associated with their previous experiences and relationships. Young people in foster care who have histories of child abuse, therefore, may find they cannot cope effectively with the situation they find themselves in. This paper attempts to highlight the problems they face. A group of 21 young people were interviewed and were asked to complete the Frydenberg and Lewis Adolescent Coping Scales. Their social workers provided information on their past history both in care and prior to coming in to care. It emerged that the young people who had experienced physical and/or sexual abuse were significantly (p < 0.02) more likely to be/have been involved in problem, or Crisis, foster placements. Additionally these young people displayed less adaptive coping strategies than the young people who had not been abused. The most significant differences indicated that the victims of abuse were more likely to try and cope with stressful situations by themselves, while the other foster adolescents were significantly (p < 0.004) more likely to find support from their friends. Case studies, with reference to the teenager's own accounts, help to illustrate how a history of abuse can complicate the already difficult fostering processes, and can also affect the long-term coping abilities of the victims. The consequences of these issues are discussed.     

论突破绿色贸易壁垒执法机制的完善

随着经济的全球化和世界环保浪潮的高涨,环境因素在国际贸易中的影响达到了前所未有的高度,发达国家纷纷以环境保护为借口构筑其绿色贸易壁垒,给包括我国在内的广大发展中国家造成了很大影响。为此,各国纷纷进行突破绿色贸易壁垒的立法并建立相应的执法机制。本文从突破绿色贸易壁垒的执法机制的意义及重要性出发,分析了我国突破绿色贸易壁垒的执法机制的现状,从而提出完善突破绿色贸易壁垒的执法机制的几点设想。     

警务实战技能教学训练内容体系初探

采用文献资料法、调查访问法、比较法、数理统计法、教学训练实践等方法 ,对我国警务技能进行了深入研究 ,提出了新型的警务技能教学训练内容新体系 ,对公安民警教育培训具有指导作用。     

Green grabbing at the ‘pharm’ gate: rosy periwinkle production in southern Madagascar

The following article contrasts contemporary rosy periwinkle (Catharanthus roseus) extraction in southern Madagascar with original bioprospecting research conducted 50 years ago. My study shows how plant extraction firms have shifted their approaches by creating new labor forms, which devolve risk and increase exploitation in attempts to capture the valuable biogenetic material needed for drug discovery. The periwinkle symbolizes a complex picture of many dynamic barriers to capitalist penetration at work, including the natural, social and political. Over time, these barriers change and act in conjunction to provide a complex commodity chain expressing many exploitative labor relations of green capitalism.     

模拟国际商事仲裁比赛与学生法律技能的提升简

在众多的国际法律竞赛中，Williem C．Vis模拟国际商事仲裁辩论赛是规模最大的国际法赛事，它也是一项以教学为实质、以竞赛为包装的法学教育活动。它能够提升参赛学生的庭辩技巧、外语水平和团体合作能力。学生能够在文书写作中提高分析问题和解决问题的能力。通过对国际商事仲裁庭的模拟训练，学生能够将国际法尤其是国际贸易法、国际商事仲裁法、国际惯例、外国的案例法以及中国的法律和案例结合运用。该项赛事有利于深化中国学生运用英语研究国际性法律问题的意识，培养具有理论素养和实践能力的国际法律人才。     

政治实践领域的生态面向——绿色非政府组织的行动模式分析

绿色非政府组织是生态政治在实践领域最为活跃的行动者之一.面对资源动员和政治效力两种功能性要件,绿色非政府组织在行动的组织模式和压力方式上形成了交叉组合的现象,制度建设似乎正在逐渐取代对抗政治.在这种情况下,绿色非政府组织同时面临着政治机会和危险,一方面取得了实践资源和生态成果,另一方面也伴随着失去绿色非政府组织本身存在意义的危险.     

对我国警务实战训练内容评价的调查研究

采用文献资料法、调查法、数据统计法等研究方法,对我国警务实战训练内容的评价进行调查,结果表明:当前我国警务实战训练是以警务技能训练和战术训练为主要内容,体能训练是警务实战中最需要加强的部分;警务技能中的搜身、押解及临时看守,战术中的盘查战术、战术基本动作,成为警务实战训练中最重要的内容,心理训练的重要性尚未得到广泛认可。
