从"整容求职"反思女大学生就业困境及应对

在就业难的大背景下,社会女性价值取向的偏颇和美女经济的泛滥,以及女大学生自我价值判断低等因素的共同合力之下,整容成了目前部分女大学生推崇的求职工具.要消减这种整形学生潮现象,必须真正落实男女平等的就业政策,保证高校女毕业生这一人力资源的充分利用.其次,女大学生自身要完善自我,增强自信.     

‘What did the winning candidate have that I don’t have?’: gender,politics and elections in Solomon Islands

Women’s political under-representation is a concern for both emerging and established democracies. In Solomon Islands, only four women were elected to Parliament in the 40 years from independence in 1978 to 2018. This article analyses the barriers to success for female candidates in Solomon Islands elections, focusing on the impact of informal institutions related to kinship, clientelism and leadership. It argues that in a context such as Solomon Islands, an emerging democracy with a weakly institutionalised party system, informal institutions play a highly influential, and highly gendered, role.     

女性话语·国族寓言·华人文化英雄——从文化研究视角重读当代华语经典《桑青与桃红》

本文从文化研究视角重读旅美台湾作家聂华苓的华语经典小说《桑青与桃红》。认为此作的离散书写和女性话语方式在华语文学史上占有突出而重要的位置,作品叙述了20世纪华人个体的流离创伤体验,同时拥有国族寓言的反思视域,以人物的历史遭际和人格分裂隐喻从抗战到冷战时期的华人离散境遇和文化政治。女性形象桑青/桃红具有华人文化英雄意味。     

对女子高等院校以就业为导向的人才培养模式的探讨

随着我国高等教育体制改革的不断深入和专业设置的不断调整,培养大批新型的掌握现代科技知识的应用型人才,已经成为高等院校的基本职能之一。而女子高等院校的设立同样离不开高等院校培养人才的基本职能,因此,只有树立以就业为导向的办学理念,合理调整专业结构,不断深化教学改革,提高学生的综合素质,培养社会急需的应用型女性人才,才能解决女子高等院校在办学过程中面临的筹集经费难、专业设置难、学生就业难等瓶颈问题。     

From global workers to local entrepreneurs: Sri Lanka’s former global factory workers in rural Sri Lanka

Abstract

Working in Sri Lanka’s urban free trade zones (FTZs) introduces Sri Lanka’s rural women to neoliberal ways of fashioning selves, which subsequently not only shape village entrepreneurial activities but also initiate negotiations in kinship, marriage, domestic arrangements, and community relations. The knowledges and networks that they develop while at the FTZ allow former workers to connect with global production networks as subcontractors, making them part of the cascading system of subcontracting that furthers the precarity of regular FTZ work. This article explores how these former workers manipulate varied forms of capital – social, cultural and monetary – to become local entrepreneurs and community leaders, while simultaneously initiating changes in rural social hierarchies and gender norms. When neoliberal economic restructuring manifests within local contexts it results in new articulations of what it is to be an entrepreneur and what it is to be a worthy, young, married woman. Overall, the paper sheds light on the fragmented and uneven manner in which neoliberal ethos take root in rural South Asia.

《天地》是由苏青自主编辑出版的体现市民价值观倾向的小品文杂志.在1940年代上海沦陷区的特殊背景下,《天地》之所以脱颖而出,与它以日常生活为主题的市民文化立场有关系.《天地》体现了消费性、世俗性和功利性的市民文化特点,而这种市民文化又具有鲜明的女性特征.     

Women and crime in contemporary China: a review essay

In the neoliberal West, while the growing awareness of women’s crimes in academic criminology has greatly extended our knowledge and understanding of the relation between women and crime, the growing visibility of female crime in popular culture brings with it a set of distinct problems that relate to the common misrepresentation of the actuality of female crime. In this article, we question whether similar trends can be identified elsewhere. We seek to address this question by focusing on female offending in China since the 1980s. Following a partial and preliminary account of female offending in this vast country, our attempt is to make some meaningful comparison and also to identify one or two key theories that might enable us to better understand the increased visibility of female offending in this non-“Western” country – one destined to play a much more active role in global culture and politics as the twenty-first century unfolds.
