东南亚主要英语变体与我国口译教学适应性对策探究

作为颇具影响力的区域性语言之一,东南亚英语具有独特的语音、语调、词汇和语法等特点,这种语言变体给我国口译工作者带来了一定的挑战。本文通过解析以新加坡英语、马来西亚英语和菲律宾英语为代表的东南亚英语变体现象,提出我国口译教学的若干适应性对策。     

WarViews: Visualizing and Animating Geographic Data on Civil War

In the recent years, the field of conflict research has produced new findings on the relation between conflict and geography. In doing so, new data sets have been created with the help of GIS software. These data sets include variables relevant for the study of conflict with a spatial component. However, the use of geographic data requires specialized software and substantial training and therefore involves high entry costs for researchers and practitioners. This paper introduces the WarViews project whose aim is to create an easy-to-use front end for the exploration of GIS data on conflict. It takes advantage of the recent proliferation of Internet-based geographic software and makes geographic data on conflict available for these tools. With WarViews, geographic data on conflict can be accessed, browsed, and time-animated in a few mouse clicks, using only standard software. As a result, a wider audience can take advantage of the valuable data contained in these databases, for example, as supplementary data for conflict case studies or for classroom demonstrations. We present two versions of WarViews. The static version runs in a web browser and allows the user to switch between different data sets. The dynamic version is based on Google Earth and can time-animate geographic data such that the development over time can be monitored. "Who Are You Wearing?" Using the Red Carpet Question Pedagogically

This paper presents an active learning module design and implementation strategy for use in an undergraduate course on globalization, world politics, international political economy, or international relations. Students are first asked to conduct research on their wardrobe and its origins by country, allowing for classroom discussion of research methods and designs. Results are submitted, along with a short response essay. This is evaluated in conjunction with a case-study short reading and shared discussion, followed by a short video/multimedia presentation on free trade and labor issues. Drawing on literature on active learning, I argue that this presents a more cohesive approach for engaging students in the material on a substantive level, while at the same time allowing them to actively appreciate and understand such diverse concepts as commodity chains, free trade zones, fair trade versus free trade, gendered divisions of labor, consumer responsibility, research methodologies, and macroeconomic shifts in employment across nations. This also serves as a rubric for instructors to use in creating their own topical "modules." Preliminary data and classroom results are discussed, as are additional strategies for lesson development.     

浅谈学生参与型备课模式在高职法学教学中的应用

教学质量的好坏,主要体现在课堂教学中。而课堂教学是否成功,又与教师备课状况息息相关,分析传统备课模式的两大特点和分析传统备课中存在的问题,探讨高职教学中学生参与型备课模式的价值具有一定的现实意义。

思想政治教育的政治价值导向性、现实应用性和动态性等特点,决定了思想政治理论课程教学的复杂性,它不是简单的知识性和单向性教学,而应遵循“教师-学生-教师”有机循环教学模式,这种模式是动态的,以解构思想政治教学内容为先导,以正确引导学生建构价值理念为重心,以形成政治价值认同感为归宿的教学模武。该文在探讨思想政治教育特点的基础上,重点分析了思想政治理论课程教学的动态模式及进一步完善这种教学模武的相关对策。

“信息技术与教学”专题资源库是通过理论探究、技术方法、教学应用和案例评价等过程来展示现代远程开放教育教学理论与信息技术应用实践的逻辑联系,规范整合信息技术与教学领域中的基本知识、基本技能和最新成果。在有组织地开展信息技术与教学培训指导的基础上,该专题资源库的建设无疑为广大教师新辟了一个自主式、个别化、一站式、网络化的享用信息技术理论与教学实践成果的资源服务平台,对不断提升教师信息素养,乃至于全面提高校园系统化、网络化和信息化服务水平,都将起到十分突出的作用。     

关于加强实践教学 提高教学质量的思考

目前,公安院校的实践教学存在着许多不尽如人意的地方,这些问题严重影响了公安院校实践化教学的进程,使公安院校的教学质量不能得到有效提高、致使公安教育不能适应公安实际需要。文章试就当前公安院校实践化教学中存在的问题以及这些问题存在的原因进行分析,并提出了一些具体的改进对策,以期解决公安院校实践教学问题。

高职艺术设计专业图案实训课教学探析

传统的图案实训教学模式已不适应高职艺术设计专业的教学需要,在图案实训教学过程中,削弱写生变形的内容,增强传统纹样的应用内容,培养学生将传统纹样与现代化的设计理念相结合的创造能力和表现能力,并通过增加材料、工艺、成本的限制,提高学生对图案应用的认识和设计技能。
