关于改制后公安院校师资队伍培养建设的探讨

面对公安教育体制改革的新形势,结合公安院校当前的实际情况,借鉴国外警察教育中师资队伍管理模式,研究出切实可行的适应公安教育体制改革需求的师资队伍培养建设措施,将是公安院校的重大基础性工程。     

《程序设计课程》教学方法的探索与实践

程序设计课程是计算机学科的专业基础课和核心课,肩负着专业入门和兴趣培养等重任,对于学好后续专业课程有非常重要的意义。本文依据笔者多年的教学实践,依据我校课程内容体系的确定,从理论教学,到实验教学,最后再到实践教学三个方面加以讨论。     

军队院校计算机教材改革初探

随着教育信息化的不断普及和发展,军队院校计算机教材越来越不能适应时代和教学的需要,滞后性和局限性问题越来越突出,如何进行军队院校的计算机教材的改革,已经成为一个亟待解决的问题。本文通过对军队院校的计算机教材的现状、计算机学科的特点和部队院校特殊性的分析,对计算机教材的改革进行了初步探讨。     

Conceptualizing the Harms Done to Children Made the Subjects of Sexual Abuse Images Online

The innovation of the Internet and the proliferation of new digital technologies in everyday life have unfortunately created more opportunities for the sexual abuse of children and especially the global distribution of child sexual abuse images online (CSAIO). Most of the current therapeutic interventions being used were designed to treat ‘conventional’ sexual abuse trauma. Victims of CSAIO may experience ongoing trauma because the recordings of their abuse have the potential to be endlessly viewed and shared by those with a sexual interest in children some of whom may be known to them. However, little is known about the potential psychological harm to victims, the extent to which existing trauma treatment modalities are applicable to them, or what modifications of these treatments may be required for effective treatment. This paper explores current ways of understanding the harms done to the victims of CSAIO and presents cautions and recommendations for moving forward.     

高职英语的计算机和网络辅助教学模式研究

在实验对比研究中,发现计算机和网络辅助语言教学模式有利于提高实验组学生二语学习经验动机,降低其外语课堂焦虑和提高其接受性的英语语言技能,但对其学习策略运用水平的提高作用不显著。另外,计算机和网络辅助语言教学模式对实验组不同水平学生在动机,焦虑及策略运用上的影响也各不相同。为发挥基于计算机和网络在高职公共英语教学中的积极作用,应该建立利用计算机和网络技术促进高职公共英语教学的长效机制,有效提高语言自主学习策略训练效果,重视网络与常规课堂相结合,并积极从固定学习平台向移动学习平台转移。     

Online Participation Chaos: A Case Study of Chinese Government-Initiated E-Polity Square

The research examines a government-initiated online engagement program in China, mainly including its history, mechanism, and how netizens participated in it. To clearly address the participation scenario, a framework is proposed to further explore the quality of participation. The result shows that participation chaos is prevalent with poor-quality proposals. A government censorship exists all the time and changes with the popularity of the forum. It also implies that the purpose of a Chinese government-initiated online engagement forum may be varied, one for engagement and the other for maintaining stability, which partly attributes to the online participation chaos.     

Explaining Young People’s Involvement in Online Piracy: An Empirical Assessment Using the Offending Crime and Justice Survey in England and Wales

Abstract

The Internet has been widely acknowledged as facilitating many forms of youth offending. Existing research has identified important drivers of young people’s involvement in online crime, yet this has overwhelmingly relied on school or college samples. As such, it tells us little about those young people that have left the formal education system—a group who are more likely perpetrators of juvenile crime more generally. Focusing on young people’s involvement in online piracy offenses, our analysis draws on data from a nationally representative survey of England and Wales to better understand the dynamics of involvement in online crime across the population. We assess the potential overlaps between online and offline offending, the role of differential association and deviancy neutralization techniques in shaping offending behavior, as well as the protective effect of strong family support networks in reducing involvement in piracy. We find that illegal downloaders tend to be young, male, and have a higher number of delinquent friends. We also find that many of these offenders do not confine their offending to online spaces, with involvement in offline property offenses also high among this group.     

“It's Just an Image,Right?”: Practitioners’ Understanding of Child Sexual Abuse Images Online and Effects on Victims

Child sexual abuse images online (CSAIO) present new and daunting challenges for practitioners working in the field of child sexual abuse (CSA). Current understanding of the phenomenon is severely limited due to a lack of theoretical and empirical research in the area. This article reports findings from a study that examined practitioners’ experiences with, and views of, CSAIO. Participants differed in how they conceptualized what constituted online CSA images and held varying degrees of concern regarding the potential effects of CSAIO on the child. Some practitioners were uncertain about whether child victims of CSAIO experience particular effects different from or over and above those caused by conventional (non-Internet related) CSA. A key finding was that most practitioners did not have a clear understanding of CSAIO. This article includes recommendations for future research regarding the implications of technology in the field of CSA.

The ABCs of Case Teaching

This article builds on the work of scholars who have introduced case teaching to their classes, as well as on the work of scholars who have researched the effectiveness of various teaching methods. It uses lessons learned from collective experience and study to make case teaching accessible to faculty and students. Its purpose is to de-mystify the aura surrounding what case teaching is and who can do it. It does so by providing anecdotal and empirical evidence of case teaching effectiveness, and practical suggestions to the uninitiated for how to get started.
