Child Protection Intervention in Domestic Violence: An Illustrative Case Narrative

This is a case study, written from the point of view of child protection caseworkers, about their work with one family. They draw on practices originating in solution-focused and brief therapy, response-based theory, and relationship-based practice. The goal is to implement practices that (a) hold the perpetrator accountable rather than the victim, (b) attempt to avoid putting the mother in a position of having to choose between partner and children, (c) capitalize on child protection's unusual mandate in order to provide support for the mother, and (d) position the professional as a supportive ally of the mother and children instead of relying on the investigative stance. The case is an instance of how these goals and principles are operationalized. Examples of their choices include holding the perpetrator accountable instead of the mother, (a) focusing on what the mother is already doing to protect the children rather than what she is not doing, (b) placing the Ministry of Children and Family Development between the perpetrator and the victim, (c) avoiding forcing the mother to choose between her children and her partner, and (d) attending to the qualities of the relationship with the mother.     

Social Impact Bonds: Blockbuster or Flash in a Pan?

Despite the general hype, Social Impact Bonds’ (SIB) rate of adoption is still modest. The mismatch between widespread interest and actual adoption raises interesting questions as to whether we are still in the early adoption phase of SIBs and massive diffusion is yet to come, or we are observing a marginal phenomenon. In order to shed some light on this issue, the paper provides a review of the cases in which the SIB model has been already applied, exploring the specific configuration employed, with the purpose to identify regular configuration patterns and their deviation from a prototypical structure.

154例孤独症谱系障碍儿童中医证候分布规律研究

目的 探索孤独症谱系障碍（autism spectrum disorder,ASD）儿童中医证候分布规律,为中医诊治ASD的规范化提供理论依据。方法 采集陕西中医药大学附属医院、西安交通大学附属儿童医院共154例ASD患儿的一般情况及中医四诊资料,运用因子分析及聚类分析等多元统计学方法,确定ASD的中医证型并进行分布规律研究。结果 中医证型分布当中,占比从高到低依次为肝郁脾虚（43.51%）、心肝火旺（20.13%）、脾肺气虚（18.18%）、心脾两虚（13.64%）、肾精不足（2.60%）、脾肾阳虚（1.95%）。结论 ASD儿童中医临床证型以实证和虚实夹杂为主,肝郁脾虚、心肝火旺、脾肺气虚、心脾两虚为ASD的4个主要证候分型,肾精不足、脾肾阳虚证并不是ASD儿童的优势证型。

国外学者一般以科学哲学为范例研究经济哲学问题,近年来国内关于经济哲学的研究也有类似的主张。本文通过科学哲学与科学和经济哲学与经济学二者关系的比较研究,认为经济哲学的学科性质不同于科学哲学,在研究对象、研究内容和研究方法方面也与科学哲学不具有相似性。

中国和美国的公务员制度差异较大,形成的历史时期不同;法规体系完善程度不同;对公务员的政治条件要求不同;对公务员的管理办法不同;公务员制度的用人标准不同等等。对中美公务员制度进行比较研究,有利于我国公务员制度的建设,有利于我国干部人事制度的改革。     

苗语量词研究述评及前瞻

目前有关苗语量词的研究主要是对苗语部分方言区的名量词的描写和分析,对苗语动量词的研究则很薄弱,对苗语各方言区的量词也缺少整体上的对比描写和分析。本文认为可以把苗语黔东方言、湘西方言、川黔滇方言三大方言区作为一个整体,全面考察苗语量词,并从语言类型学的角度出发,对苗、汉量词之间的关系作谱系内的对比研究。
