消费主义思潮与青少年思想道德建设

当前,我国城乡青少年中均表现出明显的消费主义倾向。消费主义思潮与我国人均资源匮乏的国情严重不符,对青少年思想道德建设有着非常严重的影响与危害。对消费主义的遏制,是青少年进行思想道德建设的重要途径。

《生活》周刊是20世纪初在城市青年中享有盛誉的综合性进步刊物。作为一份面向都市青年的杂志,它好像一面镜子,折射出当时都市青年社会化过程中的众生百态及其种种苦痛艰辛;同时也推动着当时都市青年社会化的进程。     

Juvenile Courts after 100 Years: Past and Present Orientations

Juvenile institutions were developed in the nineteenth century. In the United States, they prompted an extension of the parens patriae doctrine, which provided a basis for the creation of the juvenile court a century ago. The protective orientation of the court was intended both for juvenile delinquents and children in danger. Important changes have occurred since the 1960s. Procedural guarantees for delinquents and de-institutionalisation of children in danger have created a clear distinction between the two groups. Diversion has introduced an alternative to the court process. Policies aimed at young offenders have moved gradually in the direction of the adult criminal court model. The article presents an overview of this evolution, essentially for North America.     

The Changing Role of the Youth Court Judge

The last century has witnessed the creation of a number of strategies regarding youth justice and the young offender. With each change in policy has come a redefinition of the role of the youth court judge. This article discusses the traditional role of the judge, the unique role of the youth court judge, and how history has and is likely to continue to define and influence this role.     

From Centre Stage to Spear Carrier: The Repositioning of the English Juvenile Court

The approach of the new millennium poses significant challenges for the way in which the youth justice system in general, and the juvenile (now youth) court in particular, develops in the future. The past one hundred years of the juvenile court in England and Wales have seen its role both flow and ebb. It currently faces further significant repositioning. The author distinguishes four themes which have influenced the marginalisation of the juvenile court: bifurcation, diversion, manageralism and legislation of the court.

作为现代化的文化逻辑,世俗化已经成为中国社会发展进程中的必然现象,大众文化作为世俗化的一种独特表现形式,对于青年社会化悖论性地展示出其双重面相。为了防止大众文化的阴暗面相的偏激化以及文化堕距现象可能带来的严重后果,文化创新已经成为青年社会化的一种时代呼唤。     

大众文化发展的新趋势与青年思想教育

在后现代社会 ,随着经济全球化和网络化时代的到来 ,大众文化愈来愈趋向于消费型、娱乐型、休闲型文化的形式 ,表现出文化的参与性、民主性和平民性的特点 ,呈现出文化的商品化和全球化的时代特征 ,这无疑是一种历史的进步 ,但是我们也应该清楚地看到大众文化发展的新趋势可能带来许多负作用 ,特别是在青年教育工作中给我们带来许多新的问题。     

The Adolescent Society Revisited: Cultures, Crowds, Climates, and Status Structures in Seven Secondary Schools

The authors used data from seven schools in a metropolitan region to explore continuity and change in adolescent cultures and status structures; they identified six major types of status structures and explained variation among them in terms of characteristics of communities and schools. A key feature of the study is comparison of school climates, using both survey data and qualitative case studies that provide an interpretive context for the survey responses; this methodology allows a contextual level of analysis that is unavailable in either single-school ethnographies or large data sets that aggregate responses from individuals situated in many schools.Roberta Garner is Professor of Sociology at DePaul University. She received a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Chicago (1966). Her interests are in sociological theory, political sociology, and the sociology of culture.Judith Bootcheck is Associate Professor of Sociology at DePaul University and received the Ph.D. from Purdue University (1969). 从青少年弱势群体现状考察中国青少年政策的调整

在社会进步、经济发展与文化变迁的社会转型时期,青少年弱势群体逐渐形成,其形成与目前我国青少年政策形式分散、体系不完善等直接相关。为维护和保障青少年弱势群体生存与发展的权益,我国青少年政策必须强势关注青少年弱势群体发展的利益,鼎力支持青少年弱势群体利益发展的需要。     

我国城市贫困家庭子女的教育救助问题研究

目前,贫困家庭子女教育经费拮据、受教育程度低,教育期望与职业期望不高,并已经显现出失业率高和职业稳定性差等后果性问题。建议政府在制定教育政策和制度时,在观念上建立人力资本和社会投资的理念,在行动上策划和发展有效的职业训练方案。
