Results of the 2018 Rapid DNA Maturity Assessment

Three commercially available integrated rapid DNA instruments were tested as a part of a rapid DNA maturity assessment in July of 2018. The assessment was conducted with sets of blinded single-source reference samples provided to participants for testing on the individual rapid platforms within their laboratories. The data were returned to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for review and analysis. Both FBI-defined automated review (Rapid DNA Analysis) and manual review (Modified Rapid DNA Analysis) of the datasets were conducted to assess the success of genotyping the 20 Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) core STR loci and full profiles generated by the instruments. Genotype results from the multiple platforms, participating laboratories, and STR typing chemistries were combined into a single analysis. The Rapid DNA Analysis resulted in a success rate of 80% for full profiles (85% for the 20 CODIS core loci) with automated analysis. Modified Rapid DNA Analysis resulted in a success rate of 90% for both the CODIS 20 core loci and full profiles (all attempted loci per chemistry). An analysis of the peak height ratios demonstrated that 95% of all heterozygous alleles were above 59% heterozygote balance. For base-pair sizing precision, the precision was below the standard 0.5 bp deviation for both the ANDE 6C System and the RapidHIT 200.     

复合扩增A10、C4基因座遗传多态性及法医学意义

目的　建立复合扩增A10、C4基因座的体系 ,研究其在法医学检验中的应用价值。方法　生物学样本用Chelex - 10 0的方法提取DNA ,荧光标记的特异性引物复合扩增A10、C4基因座 ,用ABI 310 0遗传分析仪对扩增产物进行检测分型。结果　A10、C4基因座各检出 6个等位基因 ,GD值分别为 0 .6 86 ,0 .84 6 .共检出 2 3种单倍型 ,其单倍型的个体识别率为 0 .9184。扩增女性DNA ,均无特异性扩增产物 ;调查 30个二代家系 ,均未观察到突变基因的存在。结论　A10、C4复合扩增体系多态性较高 ,对法医学中男女混合检材的个人识别及父系亲缘关系鉴定有较高的应用价值。     

高等院校实验室的网络化管理

高等院校实验室的网络化管理应遵循一定原则,在技术实现方面应把握几个关键环节。实验室网络管理系统下的Internet模式应与标准的TCP/IP、HTTP协议和B/S、C/S结构很好融合,从而使高校实验室管理走向标准化、规范化、科学化、信息化。

Simultaneous typing of C3 and Tf and of Gc and Bf on Cellogel electrophoresis

A method is described to type C3 and Tf on the same Cellogel strip (and Bf simultaneously on a parallel strip). A different method allows to type Gc and Bf on one Cellogel strip. These methods are rapid, easy and reliable, although agarose electrophoresis is a little more effective.     

中国北方汉族群体CCK-45C/T基因座遗传多态性

胆囊收缩素(cholecystokinin,CCK)基因位于3q12.3,由3个外显子和2个内含子组成,长约7kb[1]。在CCK基因启动子部位有两个多态性SNP基因座,分别是196G/A和45C/T[2]。目前国内尚无有关45C/T多态性基因座的相关数据报道,本文应用荧光标记的TaqMan探针杂交及荧光定量PCR仪进行检测的     

Will Inflation Increase Crime Rate? New Evidence from Bounds and Modified Wald Tests

This paper employs the modified Wald (MWALD) causality test to re-examine the relationship between crime and its determinants (inflation and unemployment) in the United States from 1960 to 2005. Bounds test approach is employed to investigate the existence of a long-run relationship. The empirical evidence suggests that inflation and crime rates are cointegrated with a positive relationship. Moreover, the causal link is from inflation and unemployment to crime.
