颅脑损伤修复机制与载脂蛋白E基因多态性的研究进展

颅脑损伤是一种由暴力作用于头颅引起的损伤,由致伤外力作用于头部所导致的颅骨、脑膜、脑血管和脑组织的机械形变。载脂蛋白E（apolipoproteins E,ApoE）是载脂蛋白的一个重要类型,参与机体脂质代谢及胆固醇平衡的调节。近年来发现,ApoE的基因多态性与多种疾病相关,其免疫反应性与脑损伤时间有关联,神经系统的正常生长和损伤后修复都具有一定规律性。本文对ApoE的生物学特性、脑损伤后的作用机制以及在法医学中的应用前景进行综述,希望为脑创伤时间推断及其相关实验研究提供新的思路。     

Global populism and its 1890s Southern United States antecedent: the vexing case of Thomas E. Watson and William Faulkner’s literary intervention

ABSTRACT

Contemporary global populism combines systemic critique of power inequities with a politics of resentment. This conjunction under conditions of modernity gives rise to populisms whose twenty-first-century manifestations markedly exhibit features of Southern variants of the 1890s populism that briefly convulsed United States politics. Volatile mixtures of systemic critique and resentment politics, of progressive and proto-fascist tendencies, are vividly illustrated in the career of Thomas E. Watson (1856–1922), a prominent Georgia lawyer and politician whose populist rhetoric moved from advocating racially inclusive class solidarity to embracing virulent racist nativism. This trajectory, revelatory of susceptibilities to nativist authoritarianism also prominent in many currents of contemporary global populist politics, raises the question of whether and how literary art and humanities scholarship might work to disentangle justified revolt from reactionary resentments. William Faulkner’s Go Down, Moses (1942) and The Hamlet (1940) offer diverse models of such efforts.

国家法院对仲裁协议实施监督的核心问题,就是仲裁协议的效力和仲裁庭管辖权的认定：在仲裁程序开始之前,法院就应当根据另一方当事人的请求,令当事人将协议项下的事项提交仲裁解决,除非法院认定仲裁协议无效、失效,或者不能履行;在仲裁程序开始之后,法院仍然有权根据一方当事人的请求对仲裁协议有效性和仲裁庭的管辖权问题进行审理,法院的此项权力来源于法院地国的国内法;在仲裁程序结束之后,当事人还可以裁决所依据的仲裁协议无效为由,申请法院撤销此根据无效仲裁协议作出的裁决,或者拒绝承认与执行此裁决。但如果当事人在仲裁程序中放弃了对仲裁协议有效性或者仲裁庭的管辖权提出异议的权利,则当事人在裁决作出就不能再以仲裁协议无效或者仲裁庭对仲裁协议项下的争议没有管辖权为由,请求法院撤销或者拒绝执行此仲裁裁决。     

Validation of Half‐Reaction Amplification Using Promega PowerPlex® 16*

Abstract: DNA amplification is a fundamental yet costly process used in DNA analysis. This study evaluated half‐reaction amplification (12.5, 12, and 13 uL) using the Promega Powerplex^® 16 Kit with the hope of reducing sample analysis costs by half. A sensitivity study was completed, along with the testing of various blood stain samples including those with low (<0.40 ng) and high DNA concentrations (>3.0 ng), peak height imbalances, and allelic drop‐out. Also, 467 samples submitted to the MUFSC laboratory for testing were analyzed. Results indicate that half‐reaction amplification produced higher quality profiles than full‐reactions. Average peak heights increased by 85%, peak height imbalances improved, and drop‐out was eliminated in 75.8% of samples. Only eight of 467 case samples required re‐amplification, a success rate of 94% was observed, and the repeat rate decreased significantly. Finally, a DNA input of 0.25–1.0 ng is ideal for half‐reaction amplification.     

中国鄂温克族人群15个STR基因座多态性研究

目的调查15个STR基因座在中国鄂温克族人群中的基因频率分布。方法应用PowerPlex16System复合扩增系统,对99名鄂温克族无关个的血样DNA进行多态性研究。结果在鄂温克族人群中15个STR基因座偶合率(Pm)在0.0205～0.1733之间,个体识别概率(DP)在0.8267～0.9795之间,杂合度在0.6061～0.9091之间,三联非父排除率(PE)在0.4038～0.7690之间,多态性信息总量(PIC)在0.5985～0.8734之间,15个STR基因座总TDP值为0.9999999999998,所有基因座经χ2检验符合Hard-Weinberg平衡。结论上述15个STR基因座在鄂温克族人群中等位基因分布较好,个体识别率高,适合法医个体识别和亲子鉴定。     

2009年诺贝尔经济学奖理论贡献及其启示

艾利诺·奥斯特罗姆和奥利弗·威廉姆森因注重经济治理方面的研究而获2009年诺贝尔经济学奖,他们的理论贡献不仅在于为金融危机后的世界寻找制度意义上的根本解决方法,而且在于其理论贡献有着重要的启示作用：新制度经济学将成为主流的研究范式,经济学更注重实践。     

乙型脑炎病毒E蛋白基因的原核表达及ELISA抗体检测方法的建立

通过PCR方法扩增流行性乙型脑炎病毒(JEV)E基因,全长1 500 bp,将其连入经双酶切的pET-28a(+)载体,构建了重组原核表达质粒pET28a-E.将pET28a-E转化大肠杆菌BL21(DE3)后,经IPTG诱导,进行SDS-PAGE分析.结果显示,E基因在大肠杆菌BL21中获得高效表达,表达的蛋白分子质量约53 ku.Western-blot分析表明,该表达产物具有良好的抗原性.在此基础上,利用该蛋白初步建立了检测猪JEV抗体的间接ELISA方法,并用武汉科前生物制品公司生产的猪JEV ELISA抗体检测试剂盒同时对250份临床采集的猪血清样品进行了检测,结果这两种方法的符合率达到92%,表明建立的ELISA方法具有较高的灵敏性和特异性.     

《折狱厄言》与裁判官“内心独立”——兼论中西裁判官“内心独立”的取向差别

清人陈士矿作《折狱厄言》一书,其中多谈到裁判官在审理案件过程中应该做到"内心独立",主张裁判官应独立于自己的爱憎、好恶、喜怒哀乐、旨趣等各种可能影响案件公正审理的心理因素,坐到"中"的境界。这一源自儒家"尚中"、"中庸"的思想,应合了今天司法独立原则当中的一个重要部分,即法官的内心独立。但与此同时,中国传统法文化当中的"内心独立"观念又与当前中国法学语境中所言说的"内心独立"是有差别的,因为当前中国法学的司法独立理论是来源于西方的,因此将中国传统法文化与西方法学语境当中的"内心独立"思想进行比较,有助于我们今天司法独立的理论研究与实践。     

Evaluation of Two New Methods for DNA Extraction of “Legal High” Plant Species

A quick, simple, and high-yield nucleic acid isolation process is crucial for high-quality DNA analysis. The ability of the MicroGEM PDQeX phytoGEM system and Omega Bio-tek E.Z.N.A.® Plant DS Mini kit to extract PCR-ready DNA was evaluated by extracting the forensically relevant “legal high” plant species: Ipomoea purpurea, Artemisia absinthium, Mitragyna speciosa, Datura stramonium, and Papaver somniferum. The plant material was pulverized, processed using the manufacturer’s plant protocol for the PDQeX Nucleic Acid Extraction or the manufacturer’s protocol for the Omega extraction, quantified using the Invitrogen Qubit 2.0 Fluorometer, and analyzed for amplifiability by PCR using a Qiagen Rotor-Gene Q instrument and published assays. The DNA amplicons for the legal high species produced high-resolution melt curves concordant with the melts observed when DNA was isolated using the Qiagen DNeasy Plant Mini Kit in previous studies.     

If I only had a brain: Yip Harburg,J. Edgar Hoover,and the failures of FBI intelligence work

E. Y. Harburg, the lyricist behind The Wizard of Oz, remains one of the most important songwriters blacklisted during the Cold War. His removal from Hollywood features in the 1950s denied moviegoers a distinct American voice whose lyrics mixed humor and entertainment to champion liberal causes. From 1944–1972, Director J. Edgar Hoover and the Bureau’s major field offices investigated Harburg. His declassified FBI file shows institutionalized incompetence in the way the Bureau went about writing reports, evaluating evidence, making conclusions, and conducting counter-intelligence work. Harburg’s story illuminates the battle between the left and right to shape popular culture during the Cold War. Hoover and Harburg held opposing views on politics, religion, economics, and race. Yet both men shared a fervent faith in popular culture’s capacity to transform America. Together they vied to remake the nation according to their own distinct visions – Hoover’s fear of declension stood in contrast to Harburg’s hope for radical progress.
