十六报告的指导思想渗透着一种强烈的唯物主义的历史意识,它既是一种立场,也是一种方法,其本质精神是“面向事物自身”,即实事求是,与时俱进。它有三个基本维度:现实性、规律性和创造性,并以社会历史本位实现三者的统一。基于这种历史意识,十六报告实现了解放思想和实事求是的统一,理论创新与规划未来的统一,立足国情与面向世界的统一。认真体会这种历史意识,对于全面领会和贯彻落实十六报告具有重要意义。历史意识使我们真正走向历史深处。

Trade between Japan and Europe and the World Trade Development in the 16th-17th Century

Trade between Japan and the Europe lasted for about a century in the 16th-17th Century and the trade between the two promoted the commodity exchange between the East and the West, the packaging technological progress of commodities, the spread of crops and the formation of the world trade circle. In summary, the trade between Japan and the Europe, as part of the world trade development, constitutes an important part of the exchange history between the East and the West.     

构建和谐社会与亲民的发展思路--解读党的十六届五中全会对边缘群体问题的关注

十六届五中全会将构建社会主义和谐社会确立为“十一五”时期经济社会发展的重要目标。党中央关于构建社会主义和谐社会的思考在不断深化,亲民的发展思路越来越清晰并被付诸实施。和谐社会应该是能有效化解人民内部矛盾和妥善解决社会问题的社会。当前,中国社会边缘群体的问题非常突出,执政党亲民、爱民的价值取向在解决边缘群体问题上可以得到充分地体现。     

Small arm transfers and state complicity in international law： Challenging the limitations

Small arms have been frequently used in perpetration of human rights violations, and thus need to be subjected to legal scrutiny. This piece attempts to contribute this aim by making a legal analysis of the issue of state complicity in arm transfers. Drawing a frame of applicable laws, it highlights the importance of Article 16 of the ILC Draft Articles on State Responsibility where the notion of complicity in international law is typically designed. Moreover, this piece finds the scope of protection provided within this Article limited, and contends that the boundaries of liability for complicit acts must take into account the contemporary political, social, and economic settings for a wider understanding of complicity.     

Study of Short- and Long-Term Storage of Teeth and Its Influence on DNA

Abstract:  DNA degradation can interfere with the resolution of forensic cases. Allelic dropout often reduces the opportunity for adequate comparisons between degraded and reference samples. This study analyzed DNA degradation in 24 extracted teeth after storage at room temperature for 0, 2, 5, and 10 years. DNA concentration, quantified by dot-blot hybridization, declined significantly for the first 2 years, but there was no significant further degradation from the second to the tenth year of storage. COfiler™ analysis was used and the allelic dropout ratio for the amelogenin locus relative to CSF1PO locus was also estimated. Statistically significant differences were found between fresh teeth and teeth from the 2- and 5-year groups but not from the 10-year group. Under our storage conditions most of the DNA degradation occurred during the first 2 years. Further research is needed to control for individual and external factors that could affect DNA.     

线粒体16SrRNA和Cytb基因复合扩增进行种属鉴定

目的 建立一种用于种属鉴定的线粒体DNA16SrRNA基因和细胞色素b基因荧光标记复合扩增检测体系。方法 利用引物设计软件Primer 5．0对mtDNA序列的16SrRNA基因和细胞色素b基因各设计一对引物,建立复合扩增体系,分别扩增人和牛、猪、狗、鸡、草鱼5种常见动物,用310遗传分析仪对产物进行分析。结果 人和5种动物DNA扩增产物均出现两个峰。Cytb通用引物的扩增产物为人与动物的共有峰,为358bp;16SrRNA基因的扩增产物为人与动物间存在位置差异的特异峰,位于231～256bp之间。结论 该复合扩增体系可以明确区分人和5种动物样本,可用于种属鉴定。     

Spatial and temporal influences on bacterial profiling of forensic soil samples

Bacterial content may be helpful in differentiating forensic soil samples; however, the effectiveness of bacterial profiling depends on several factors, including uniqueness among different habitat types, the level of heterogeneity within a habitat, and changes in bacterial communities over time. To examine these, soils from five diverse habitats were tested over a 1 year period using terminal restriction fragment length polymorphism (TRFLP) analysis. Soil samples were collected at central locations monthly, and 10 feet in cardinal directions quarterly. Similarity indices were found to be least related among habitats, while the greatest bacterial similarities existed among collection locations within a habitat. Temporally, however, bacterial content varied considerably, and there was substantial overlap in similarity indices among habitats during different parts of the year. Taken together, the results indicate that while bacterial DNA profiling may be useful for forensic soil analysis, certain variables, particularly time, must be considered.

MMPI-2 and 16PF-5 Personality Traits of Parents Involved in Personality Assessment

The present study focused on both the MMPI-2 scales and the 16PF-5 primary and global factors, involving 213 individuals who were court-ordered to undergo a personality assessment in neglect and/or abuse cases. Results showed a defensive approach to the assessment and specific psychological characteristics indicated by moderate range elevations in the MMPI-2 clinical scales 4 and 6 and in the 16PF-5 Tough-Mindedness, and high scores of 16PF-5 Self-Control associated with low scores of PSY-5 Disconstraint. Finally, this study revealed strong associations between MMPI-2 PSY-5 and 16PF-5 global factors, offering a detailed picture of psychological functioning.
