中国法学学科体制中检察学的定位

由于未能注意在国家现行法学学科体系中寻求一种体系内的合理定位,检察学构建和理论体系的研究还呈现出"自说自话"的特点.检察学研究检察制度与检察活动,具有职能性、综合性、应用性的特点,它应当在一种多元的视野中寻求自身的学科定位,既要充分尊重国家学科体制的既有格局,又要考虑一定程度上的突破与创新.检察学独立学科地位的确立,取决于建立该学科的"有理"与"有势".     

高校学报的办刊方向与学术价值--以淡化内外稿观念为例

为本校科研服务是高校学报的办刊方向,这一定位的缺陷是“以本校为主”和“综合性”,由此涉及学报的编辑方针并延伸出“内、外稿”的选稿标准问题。淡化这一“标准”是学报改革与发展的重要方面。     

Problems with Publishing: Existing State and Solutions

Survival in academia depends on publications in refereed journals. Authors only get their papers accepted if they intellectually prostitute themselves by slavishly following the demands made by anonymous referees without property rights to the journals they advise.Intellectual prostitution is neither beneficial to suppliers nor consumers. But it is avoidable. The editor (with property rights to the journal) should make the basic decision of whether a paper is worth publishing or not. The referees should only offer suggestions on how to improve the paper. The author may disregard this advice. This reduces intellectual prostitution and produces more original publications.JEL Classification: A11, Z00     

Participation in Extracurricular Activities and Adolescent Adjustment: Cross-Sectional and Longitudinal Findings

This study extends previous understanding of the association between adolescent extracurricular activity participation and adjustment by asking whether participation in school-based extracurricular activities is associated with lower substance use and depression, higher grades and academic aspirations, and more positive attitude toward school. In addition, it examines the role of life events stress and time spent in activities as potential moderators of the association. Data come from an ethnically diverse sample of adolescents from 6 California highschools (N = 3,761). Cross-sectional results suggest participation is associated with more positive adolescent outcomes for all variables except alcohol use and depression, controlling for gender, ethnicity, and grade. Longitudinal analyses are consistent with these findings. Cumulative participation over a 3-year period predicts adolescent outcomes controlling for both Time 1 outcomes and demographic characteristics. In addition, within-person analyses reveal year-to-year covariation of participation and positive outcomes. Dr. Darling is a developmental psychologist whose research focuses on social relationships during adolescence, with a special interest in contextual variation in developmental processes.

2009—2013年 我国11种综合类核心期刊学术影响力分析

利用2010-2014年版《中国科技期刊引证报告(核心板)》CJCR评价系统,选取了11种综合类核心期刊的计量指标,采用文献计量法对影响因子、总被引频次等多项指标进行了统计分析,以期对我国综合类期刊的科学定位、持续发展、不断提升学术影响力提供理论参考.     

Relationships between Policy Academics and Public Servants: Learning at a Distance?

The cultures and practices of the public service and academic researchers are very different. However, there are areas of common interest in policy and governance, and some potential for building closer relationships. Public servants make direct use of academic research only in exceptional circumstances. Nevertheless, there are other ways in which academic expertise can be useful and influential. This article surveys the international literature on the ways in which practitioners make use of external expertise, including academic research. It also considers whether the heightened interest in ‘evidence‐informed policy’ might provide avenues for mutual influence between practitioners and academics.     

Disrupting civility: amateur intellectuals,international lawyers and TWAIL as praxis

Abstract

This paper is a reflection on the role of intellectuals in engaging with Palestinian solidarity movements and liberation discourses, and on the place of international lawyers specifically within that context. The paper considers ‘the question of Palestine’ as a rigorous test for intellectuals in the Global North today, and examines particular debates over free speech, civility and balance that unfolded in the wake of Israel’s 2014 war on Gaza. It considers the interventions of international lawyers in these debates with reference to Edward Said’s ‘amateur’ and ‘professional’ intellectuals, and explores ways in which anti-colonial international lawyers (as amateur intellectuals) can transcend prevailing professional orthodoxies to deploy language, arguments or tactics that rupture liberal legal processes and narratives on Palestine.
