Sensitivity of the Luminol Test with Blue Denim

Abstract: An article appearing in this journal in 2000 suggested that the sensitivity of the luminol test performed on denim fabric is usually no greater than at a 1:100 dilution of blood. This study shows that the luminol test may be unambiguously interpreted at substantially greater dilutions of blood. In this study, four different types of denim were tested by spraying a swatch of fabric with a typical formulation of the luminol reagent. Testing was conducted of dilutions of blood up to 1:1000, all of which showed distinct chemiluminescence. Diluted blood was applied to denim material in the form of a random number. A successful test was obtained only when a “blind” observer, i.e., an observer who was uninformed of the number, correctly reported the number.     

Internet domain names and the interaction with intellectual property

This is the fourth in a series of articles looking at the interaction between Internet domain names and intellectual property. It outlines the ICANN dispute resolution procedure for gTLDs whereby objectionable domain names can be transferred away from their registrants or cancelled. It also compares this to legal proceedings in the UK Courts and outlines a referral to the European Court of Justice on issues relating to a trade mark registration as the basis or legitimate interest for a .eu domain name registration.

在亲子关系纷争中,以血缘亲子关系是否真实存在为其主要争点,而这种真实性的确认通常需借助于血型或DNA等血缘鉴定等科学方式。然而,血缘鉴定需要相关当事人配合以提供血液或毛发等为科学鉴定之样本,如此就牵涉到当事人的人格权保护、血统真实主义、裁判公正需要等价值权衡下的选择、取舍。参仿国外并立足国情,以子女最佳利益保护为根本,适应诉讼上的真实发现与裁判公正之需要,对血缘鉴定于具体个案实践中的正当性与必要性两方面结合为考量,可以采用强度程度不一、具体方式多样对血缘鉴定对执行以灵活处理。     

对基层社会矛盾与社会冲突化解机制问题的思考

为了预防和化解社会矛盾,各地已形成了一套与社会发展相适应的矛盾纠纷解决机制和政策措施。但从总体上看,还存在预防和化解社会矛盾的制度和机制不够健全,社会矛盾的处置力度较弱、成本较高等问题。为此,必须坚持在改革发展中解决矛盾的原则,必须着眼于实现好、维护好、发展好最广大人民群众的根本利益,必须做到依法、公开、公平、公正。要从预防机制、预警机制、应对机制、保障机制等四个方面强化基层社会矛盾与社会冲突化解机制的建设与完善。     

液相色谱-质谱联用测定血中氟乙酸类鼠药

目的建立血中氟乙酸类鼠药液相色谱-电喷雾离子阱质谱分析方法。方法血样经甲醇沉淀蛋白后离心,上清液用氮气吹干,流动相定容过滤膜,滤液直接进行液相色谱-电喷雾离子阱质谱联用分析。结果血中氟乙酸根在0.050μg/mL-2.0μg/mL之间具有良好的线性关系,最低检出限为0.020μg/mL。结论本文建立的方法快速、灵敏、操作简便,适用于刑事案件中该类氟乙酸类鼠药的快速检验,具有一定的实用价值。     

刑法上的因果关系探究

对刑法中的因果关系的判断应着眼于本国的司法实践。由于我国耦合式的犯罪构成模式,使得我国在刑法因果关系的判断上不可能仅是事实层面的判断,而应是事实层面和价值层面的统一。只有将这两个层面之间的关系理顺,才能对刑法上的因果关系做出合理的判断。

基于中国—东盟自由贸易区发展需求的口译听辨教学

随着中国—东盟自由贸易区的建成和进一步发展,对高水平口译人才的需求也在日益增长。为了满足自由贸易区发展对口译人才的需求,提高学生的口译听辨能力成为口译教学亟需解决的问题。本文提出从加强东盟国家语言变体听辨训练和加强背景知识积累两个方面,有针对性地解决口译员在中国—东盟自由贸易区背景下出现的听辨障碍。     

延边地区牛瑟氏泰勒虫病的分子流行病学调查

为了解吉林省延边地区牛瑟氏泰勒虫病的流行情况,分别采用血涂片染色镜检法和PCR方法对采自延边地区的206份牛血液样本进行了牛瑟氏泰勒虫病的分子流行病学调查。结果显示,PCR检测的阳性率为62.6%,显著高于血涂片染色镜检法检测的阳性率(17.5%)。采用统计学分析方法对PCR检测的206份血液样本进行了不同地区、不同年龄、不同品种及饲养方式的比较;结果,不同地区之间和不同品种之间瑟氏泰勒虫感染率差异不显著(P>0.05);而不同年龄阶段之间和不同饲养方式之间牛瑟氏泰勒虫感染率差异显著(P<0.05)。结果表明,吉林省延边地区是牛瑟氏泰勒虫病的流行地区。     

Buying treaties with cigarettes: Internal side‐payments in two level games

Two‐level games models predict that domestic division within a state can alter the extent to which that state is able to reach agreements with other states, and also alter the content of any agreement that is reached. I extend the model by introducing internal side‐payments composed of unrelated domestic issues. Domestic opposition to an international agreement will inhibit cooperation most when the executive and median legislators are in relative agreement about other salient domestic political issues.
