This paper reconsiders the political dynamics, social disorder, and personal traumas endured during China's socialist revolutionary times by examining the Chinese American writer Yan Geling's (b. 1958) two Scar Literature novels, The Criminal Lu Yanshi (Lufan Yanshi, 2011) and A Woman's Epic (Yige nuren de shishi, 2006). Employing Hannah Arendt's theory on totalitarianism, this paper investigates how Mao's authoritarian rule transmutes Chinese society into an atomized and individualized society. It will reveal how this totalitarian rule over the Chinese intellectuals, by the brutal use of the re-education system, succeeded in isolating them, which then led to intense feelings of solitude. The objective of this paper is to undo and rectify the historical and cultural “memory loss” caused by the current trend of depoliticizing, commercializing, and sensualizing the socialist revolutionary memories as demonstrated by the televisual postmodern repackaging of the Maoist past to be found in the mediasphere of present-day China, which forgets the horrors of the Cultural Revolution as crimes against the Chinese people. 相似文献

中国共产党与妇女运动的关系是中国特色妇女理论的重要内容。文章运用文献研究的方法,对1927—1937年中共中央及部分省份关于妇女运动的有关文件进行了研究。发现这一时期中国共产党的妇女工作理念是“整体化”,即将妇女运动作为中国共产党所领导的无产阶级革命斗争的“整体部分”,而不是附属于党的工作的独立部分;并通过不断自省的方法,检查党的妇女工作的失误,使党的妇女工作理念得以实施;党的妇女工作的具体方法是深切体察妇女的特殊需求,并努力在革命进程中体现妇女的特殊利益。党的妇女工作理念与方法对妇女运动的影响呈多向性特征。 相似文献

对女性主义叙事学30余年的发展历程进行分析可以发现,女性主义叙事学作为一门交叉学科在学科界定、学术传统、研究范围、理论构建、研究方法以及研究意义等6个方面有其特点。作为女性主义和经典叙事学研究的整合,女性主义叙事学体现了一种文本形式分析和社会政治批评并重的跨学科研究范式;其在学科界定、理论建设、研究方法方面依旧存在诸多问题,有待改进。女性主义叙事学应当逐步建立完善的学科理论范式、科学合理的学科评判标准和具有可操作性的学科理论模型,以便促进女性主义叙事学理论的继续发展与具体研究的稳步推进。 相似文献

AbstractPlaying a pivotal role in foregrounding a feminist politics of difference, a politics of location embodies what can be termed second-wave concerns that continue to inform contemporary feminist modes of inquiry and research. However, the attention to material specificity that locatability performs has emphasized the identity of the speaking subject at the same time as it has acknowledged materiality's entangled engagements as suggestive of the complicated production of any identity. In her 1988 essay ‘Situated Knowledges’, Donna Haraway both raises and responds to the challenge of a feminist politics of location in a way that anticipates a convoluted politics of the subject, in particular where she is not satisfied to relinquish universality and objectivity, or the ‘non-local’, in her provocative thinking through of situated knowledge production. The partial perspective she uncovers insists that the capacity for identity is addressed as a political gesture, with a reminder that any appeal to perspective is a non-innocent participation in what it helps to produce. In taking up Haraway's essay, the author engages with the problematic nature of a politics of location that is confounded by the direction of its critical interventions, and in such a way anticipates and performs new (feminist) materialist concerns. Questioning the nature of non-locatability and its political imperatives, the author suggests an ‘annunciative politics’ through which to consider some of the implications of Haraway's figuring of the partial perspective, to ask after feminism's political impetus with the tensions raised in Haraway's argument kept alive. 相似文献

In this article the author revisits the question of how feminist theory/theories could address questions regarding universalism,
sameness, difference, and the quest for justice. She reconsiders the quest for justice and equality for women and the (im)
possibilities of a feminist perspective on justice and a feminist `community'. The three feminist theorists that she discusses
are Martha Nussbaum, Drucilla Cornell, and Iris Marion Young. Nussbaum is closer to a liberal defense of universal values
– Cornell and Young stand critical of liberalism and focus on sublimity, dignity, and asymmetrical reciprocity. The author
supports the perspective of the latter two theorists and applies these perspectives to aspects of South African equality jurisprudence.
She also considers critically the extent to which the Draft Protocol to the African Charter on Human and People's Rights on
the Rights of Women in Africa breaks with liberal universalism and sameness. To the end she supports a notion of` slowing
down' in order to protect women's freedom and dignity, to approach each other with wonder and respect.

One of the persistent problems with academic life is that one is encouraged to tell the truth, whether in research, the classroom, or the department meeting. For feminists, graduate school in particular stresses the importance of meticulously documenting girls' and women's lives, which have been rendered invisible by virtually all fields. Although these days the idea of truth is contentious, in the real world in which feminist academics and feminist criminologists in particular work, real problems that women confront (like sexual harassment, discrimination, and workplace violence) continue. Documenting these problems on their own campuses is a particular burden that feminist criminologists as well as others have taken on. It produces genuine challenges in a career that relies heavily on collegiality and civility. This article reflects on the costs of telling it like it is while also considering the long-term benefits, such as they are, of bringing the feminist perspective fully into the field of criminology. 相似文献
