The official art of the Khrushchev Thaw: The Severe Style as an ambassador of the Estonian national school at Baltic art exhibitions in Moscow

In Estonian post-Socialist art history writing, the term ‘national’ has mostly been introduced as a defense mechanism against the Soviet regime. The aim of this article is to indicate that concept ‘national’ also played quite an important role in ‘official’ Soviet cultural politics, especially after Stalin’s death. The processes of cultivating ‘national particularities’ in the arts will be exemplified by the Baltic exhibitions in Moscow in the end of 1950s and 1960s.     

Unstable Antistatism: The Left, the Right, and The Outlaw Josey Wales

This essay is an examination of the diverse origins of modern conservative antistatism in the United States through an analysis of the 1976 film The Outlaw Josey Wales, and the book on which it was based. The consolidation of a conservative politics in the 1970s was achieved in part by the Right's appropriation of New Left antistatism via older forms of racial discourse. This emphasis on New Left influence helps explain the rise of the New Right in a way that is missed in conventional accounts, while demonstrating more generally that political discourse is always contingent and unstable, and open to unintended articulations.

Fair use of works of art in children's games

The aim of this article is to examine the legal possibilities available to creators of children's games, enhancing art education. It focuses on the type of games that enrich the learning experience by means of works of visual, verbal or musical art. I do not deal with the technology of the digital age, but examine the educational art game as a ‘derived game’, containing the original work of art (as a component of the game), and discuss in depth the issue of the use of works of art, integrated in children's games. The situation in this sphere is murky. In the toy shops there are no games providing enrichment in the understanding of art, and shops in art galleries have only a few games with reproductions of pictures in those galleries. The subject is particularly important in view of the fact that children are not exposed to works of art contributing to their cognitive development and critical perspective, and when they do see works of art, they are usually behind some barrier and not easily accessible. The complex situation created by strict copyright laws deters the planners and producers of games and makes such games expensive. As a result, we as a society, fail to exploit a powerful experiential means to enrich the cultural world of the younger generation. This article examines the possibilities of establishing a right of fair use of reproductions of works of art in children's games.     

保心包贴膜体外抗菌作用观察

目的：研究保心包贴膜对引起化脓性感染细菌的抗菌作用。方法：用琼脂平板稀释法检测保心包贴膜对从患伤口分离得到的11种142株临床常见创伤感染致病菌最低抑菌浓度（MIC）、最低杀菌浓度（MBC）。结果：该药物对受试的11种病原菌都有不同程度的杀菌、抑菌作用。结论：保心包贴膜对局部皮肤化脓性感染具有良好的疗效。

艺术想象作为艺术理论中最基本的范畴之一 ,历来是美学和艺术理论界的研究热点。从宏观的视角 ,科林伍德分析了在人类活动的大框架下想象活动的特殊性 ,主张艺术是人类特有的一种想象性的创造活动 ,是一种总体活动的想象性经验的情感表现 ,指出想象与真理、虚拟既有联系也具有明显区别。在微观方面 ,他将想象置于感觉、思维、意识、印象、观念及注意等诸多心理因素中进行考察 ,说明了想象在心理结构中的重要地位和作用     

浅析"左联"时期的左翼电影运动

左冀电影尽管在严格的审查制度、法西斯式的暴力干扰以及来自其他阶层电影人的冲击合力“围剿”中举步维艰,但是在中共左翼电影小组的领导下,它始终坚持反帝反封的创作方向,促进了电影艺术自身的发展和进步,创造了中国电影史上的第一个高峰。不可否认,在具体的理论运用和实践创作方面,左翼电影还存在着一些误区。然而它深入社会各阶层,传播了无产阶级的意识和主张,发扬了进步电影艺术,功绩是不可磨灭的。

试论比喻的异质原则

比喻的本体和喻体必须是本质不同的事物。修辞教学中产生比喻划界上的不同意见，大多源于对“异质原则”的不同理解。本提出辩证地理解比喻的异质原则。即判断本体和喻体是否同类，不可拘泥于简单的自然类属，必须具体分析作设喻时选择的事物属性；本体和喻体的关系，从完全不同类到同类，是渐变的连续过渡，在中间地带很难绝然划分；本体和喻体的自然类属相同时，对本体是否有艺术表现力，可以成为辨识比喻的重要标准。
