手机文化对高校思想政治教育工作的影响及对策

当前,手机文化已经成为校园亚文化形态,在传播信息的同时也在潜移默化地影响着高校大学生的思想、行为与理念,逐渐成为了校园文化的主流。在当前深化文化体制改革的背景下,面对不同文化价值的冲击,高校则应坚守思想政治教育这一主阵地,全面避免手机文化的不良影响,并充分利用手机作为新载体将高校思想政治工作加以融合,以此增强高校思想政治工作的实效性。     

手机信息在犯罪制图中的应用

在侦查实践中,犯罪制图借助空间坐标,探讨时空要素对于侦查破案可以起到辅助作用,手机信息具备独特的优势,成为犯罪制图的重要信息来源。具体来说,犯罪制图能够有效利用手机与通讯基站的对应关系,利用手机智能软件的拓展功能进行地理画像,发现、固定、抓捕犯罪嫌疑人,成为侦查工作的有效突破口。

手机短信骚扰的法律思考

绝大部分手机用户都有被短信骚扰的经历,这种骚扰让人不堪忍受。短信骚扰属于违法行为,既违反了《消费者权益保护法》,也侵犯了公民的隐私权。为了保护手机用户的权益,应严格禁止群发短信广告,加强对个人资料的法律保护,明确短信骚扰的民事责任,理清举证责任。     

Establishing phone-pair co-usage by comparing mobility patterns

In forensic investigations it is often of value to establish whether two phones were used by the same person during a given time period. We present a method that uses time and location of cell tower registrations of mobile phones to assess the strength of evidence that any pair of phones were used by the same person. The method is transparent as it uses logistic regression to discriminate between the hypotheses of same and different user, and a standard kernel density estimation to quantify the weight of evidence in terms of a likelihood ratio. We further add to previous theoretical work by training and validating our method on real world data, paving the way for application in practice. The method shows good performance under different modeling choices and robustness under lower quantity or quality of data. We discuss practical usage in court.

The interplay of (semiotic) technologies and genre: the case of the selfie

ABSTRACT

The selfie is one of the most widely publicized, criticized, and debated visual phenomena of our time. However, formulating a definition of the selfie is not straightforward, as visual clues – be they representational or compositional – alone are not sufficient for identification. Recognizing an image as a selfie, rather than a portrait, often requires viewers to interpret the image in relation to the technological and sociocutural context in which the photo was taken and shared. In this paper, we consider the technological conditions that have shaped the evolution of the selfie as a visual genre. Central to our discussion is the premise that the selfie is not simply a genre for self-representation, but means of generating various perspectives: that of the selfie maker, the represented visual participant, and the viewer identification. This unique perspective-generating affordance of the selfie is both facilitated and constrained by the various technologies involved in selfie practices. On the one hand, the technological and physical constraints of the smart phone camera give rise to a specific form of “distorted” look which makes certain types of selfie possible. On the other hand, social media platforms facilitate the sharing of selfies, which results in increasingly stylized and creative ways in which perspectives of the self can be represented, negotiated, and, in the case of selfies manipulated via apps, augmented.     

An exploratory comparative analysis of the use of metaphors in writing on the Internet and mobile phones

Scant attention has been paid to the use of figures of speech in describing mobile telephony and how it is used. While there are isolated cases, as yet there is no study of metaphor use across a larger corpus of mobile phone research. This article addresses this gap by developing a preliminary survey, or mapping, of the use of metaphors and other discursive figures and tropes in the available literature on mobile phones. It does this by using metaphors in Internet literature as a springboard for comparative analysis, as a comparable communications medium. Both for their general role as communications technologies and their specific historicized position as “new media”, and with their capacities increasingly overlapping, mobile phones and the Internet form a useful counterpoint. The article summarizes the key findings from earlier work mapping and critiquing the use of metaphor in the critical and popular writing on the Internet. It then compares and contrasts these Internet-based metaphors against those in the mobile literature. The paper concludes with a discussion of the perils and the promise of metaphor use in writing on communications technologies.

涉案电话通信信息既包括与犯罪嫌疑人本身所持有、使用的手机、程控电话、IC卡电话等通信工具有关的信息,也包括被犯罪分子盗、抢、骗手机的通信信息。它具有时限性、对象性、价值性、保密性等特性,可以通过现场勘验检查、调查访问、电信部门和其他途径获取。利用涉案通信信息开展侦查的方法多种多样,而且具有极大的灵活性,需要侦查主体充分发挥创造性思维加以运用。涉案通信信息在犯罪侦查中的运用已经日益显示其重要性,为了提高在犯罪侦查中利用涉案通信信息的效能,应在侦查人员中普及电信基本知识,建立通信信息查询系统,加强与电信部门的联系和协作配合,制定相关法律法规,细化和规范利用涉案通信信息的侦查行为。
