Hedonism and Ethical Crisis:A Study on Edward Albee‘s Everything in the Garden

Edward Albee’s Everything in the Garden is an ethical tragedy caused by hedonism. Both the hero and heroine lost their rationality for the sake of pursuing the satisfaction of desire, who finally committed the fearful ethical crime, murder, under the control of animal factor. Through the play, the playwright deliberately emphasizes the process of how a happy family moves towards abyss step by step due to the domination of material desire. The destruction of the family means that the “fun morality”, which represents the irrational will, finally defeats the “goodness morality”, which represents the rational will. This paper uses ethical literary criticism as the study method, through analyzing the ethical issues in the play, such as characters’ rational loss, moral turpitude, and lack of ethics, intending to seek the ethical prospect of Albee: by writing characters’ pursuit of extreme “fun morality” and the serious result brought by it, Albee attempts to arouse people’s yearning for “goodness morality”.

监狱行刑善恶或道德行为选择,是监狱行刑者在一定的善恶观念支配下,在监狱行刑活动中对涉及服刑罪犯执行刑罚或相关利益的行为的自觉自愿抉择,其选择需要具备外在的可能性、内在的可能性以及行为选择能力的必备条件。当下我国监狱行刑善恶选择的现状积极变化和消极变化都很突出,究其原因,既有来自宏观的社会原因,又有出自监狱干警的职业特点和干警自身的因素,目前的状况,使得监狱干警进行善恶或道德选择处于一种两难状态,即陷入了道德困境,如何走出困境?从根本上说,走出困境必须依靠人们包括监狱干警改造社会的实践活动和道德境界及选择能力的提高。在监狱行刑活动实践中,要正确进行善恶选择,监狱干警职业道德建设要把提升干警善恶选择水平作为着力点。     

大学生择业挫折教育的现实难点及路径选择

公共政策作为对全社会价值资源最有权威的分配工具,有责任和义务通过政治过程所作出的选择和分配办法的制定来解决公共问题,以实现公共利益的最大化。进入民生发展新时代以后,社会公共政策的公共性与社会发展的公共利益最大化就历史地逻辑地统一在发展好、维护好、实现好广大人民群众根本利益基础之上,社会公共利益的最大化实现就是要保证不断改善民生、不断提高民生质量,实现人的全面发展,这就成了现代公共政策的基本价值目标。

The paper argues for the possibility of reworking the concept of ideology in such a way as to depend neither on a problematic of truth and error, nor on a division of the world into two parts one of which is more real than the other, nor on an expressive relation of subjects to meaning. The political force of the concept can be retained if ideology is thought as a provisional state of discourse (a function of its appropriation and use) rather than as a content or an inherent structure. Any discursive system produces a particular configuration of subject-positions which are the conditions of entry of individuals into discourse; but these acquire political significance only through the (historically variable) codification of discourse in terms of a play of relations of power, and the positions available can be refused or undermined. Some implications of this argument for models of the social and for discourse theory are discussed

我国文化产业的知识产权战略选择

文化产业的核心价值和根本经济增长点就是知识产权利益的实现,如何从知识产权战略实施的角度促进我国文化产业的发展,既是一个有待深入研究的理论问题,又是一个亟待科学解决的现实问题。文化产业实施知识产权战略,有其天然属性和必要性,我国已初步建立起文化产业的知识产权保护体系,但在文化产业知识产权战略实施方面还存在着一定的问题,我国文化产业知识产权战略的实施必须将国内政策选择与国际化策略推行结合起来。
