Marital Satisfaction and Marital Discord as Risk Markers for Intimate Partner Violence: A Meta-analytic Review

A meta-analysis investigating the relationship between marital satisfaction/discord and intimate partner violence (IPV) in heterosexual relationships was conducted with 32 articles. Overall, a small-to-moderate effect size (r = −0.27) indicated a significant and negative relationship existed between marital satisfaction/discord and IPV. Moderator analyses found no differences between effect size based on construct examined (discord or satisfaction). However, the magnitudes of observed effect sizes were influenced by other moderator variables, including the use of standardized versus non-standardized measures, gender of the offender and victim, role in the violence (perpetrator versus victim), and sample type (clinical versus community). The data suggests that gender is an especially important moderator variable in understanding the relationship between marital satisfaction/discord and IPV.     

我国政府绩效评估的主体资格分析

我国由政府主导的封闭式绩效评估活动已逐渐显现其官僚特征,不符合"建设服务型政府"目标的要求。在绩效评估活动中,评估主体影响着评估结果的可信度和有效性。评估主体研究是政府绩效评估的基础研究,它引导政府树立以公众为基础、社会共同参与的理念,平衡各阶层的利益,推进和谐社会的建立。本文从我国绩效评估主体的构成入手,在分析我国绩效评估主体存在问题的基础上,提出完备的绩效评估主体应具备的条件,进而对完善我国政府绩效评估主体提出相应的对策。     

中国通论犯罪构成理论体系评判

如果将犯罪构成理论理解为解释法律的理论体系，那么理论体系的设定就应当遵循安全性、可操作性两个价值前提。依据这两个价值前提评价我国通论的四要件犯罪构成理论体系，该理论体系的一次性评价的体系设计，出罪通道的不畅通，导致刑法运行安全方面的保障欠缺；将一个总体的犯罪评价对象即犯罪行为，拆分为四个方面的理论体系思路，难于符合人的一般思维习惯；具有可操作性方面的问题。因此，通论四要件的犯罪构成理论体系不具有选择的合理性。     

Losers lose more than winners win: Asymmetrical effects of winning and losing in elections

Being on the winning or the losing side in elections has important consequences for voters’ perceptions of democracy. This article contributes to the existing literature by showing that being on the losing side has persistent effects over a surprisingly long time. Based on a dataset that measures voters’ satisfaction with democracy three years after elections were held, it first shows that losers are significantly more dissatisfied with democracy than winners on both input and output side measures of perceptions of democracy. Furthermore, the article shows that turning from winning to losing has significant negative effects on voters’ satisfaction, and that this finding is robust across a number of different specifications. These results are remarkable given that the data used is from Denmark – a country that constitutes a least-likely case for finding effects of being on the winning or the losing side.

The Impact of Quality Public Service Delivery on Customer Satisfaction in Bahir Dar City Administration: The Case of Ginbot 20 Sub-city

ABSTRACT

This study is conducted with the general objective of assessing the impact of quality public service delivery on customer satisfaction in Ginbot20 sub-city. To conduct the study correlational research design, and quantitative research approach have been employed. A total of 88 samples both from customers (68) and service providers (20) were selected using simple random sampling and systematic random sampling techniques respectively. Data were collected using questionnaires. Based on the data collected, the study comes up with certain findings. Among the major findings, the perception of customers and service providers on quality service delivery and customer satisfaction is different, responsiveness, tangibility, assurance, and reliability have positively associated with customer satisfaction. However, empathy has negatively associated with customer satisfaction. Generally, the likelihood of customers gets satisfied when there is quality service delivery is 0.84 (84%) while get satisfied with the probability value of 0.038948(3.8948%) in the absence of quality service delivery.     

社区矫正审前社会调查评估制度之程序构建

审前社会调查评估是人民法院适用社区矫正的一个前置性程序.目前,我国社区矫正审前社会调查评估制度在实践操作中存在着启动程序的随意性、启动主体的单一性、启动时间的滞后性、调查内容不统一、调查报告低质化以及调查评估报告效力上的不确定性等问题.本文认为,社区矫正审前社会调查评估制度的启动程序应强调启动主体的多样性和启动时间的前移,调查程序强调关注被害人的权利,审前社会调查评估报告则由检察机关通过量刑建议、监狱机关通过假释建议的方式使用.     

监狱服刑人员社会适应性评估与预测性评估的基本问题

监狱服刑人员社会适应性评估与预测性评估体系建设是监狱行刑工作急需解决的重大课题。两类评估的评估体系构建,需要开展大量的实证研究和理论研究工作。本文主要是对两类评估的内涵、意义、评估的维度及其体系内涵进行初步探讨。

专业设置、课程建设、师资队伍建设与实习实训基地建设是专业建设的核心。专业设置要动静结合,既要考虑社会需求,又要兼顾学校自身的资源条件;在＂宽基础、活模块＂的课程体系框架下,要突出＂四类课程＂,并辅之以配套的教学改革;在分类培训、提升教师业务水平的同时,政府要出台有利于企业人才入校的优惠政策;在构建面向专业群共享的稳定的校内外实训室的基础上探索建立校办生产性实训基地。
