传媒与暴力行为关系的换位研究与思考——从传媒的家庭暴力宣传中得到的启示

传媒的暴力宣传所产生的“小即是大的效应”会对人的社会化产生负面影响,并且会增加现实社会中人的暴力和攻击行为。分析我国传媒对家庭暴力的关注和宣传,对传媒与暴力行为关系进行逆向研究与反思,以期找出一条充分发挥传媒的优势,将“小即是大的效应”转化为正面效应的为反暴力服务的途径。     

(Mis)Understanding the Impact of Online Fraud: Implications for Victim Assistance Schemes

Australia provides victims of violent crime access to financial support to assist with recovery, excluding victims of nonviolent offences. The author examines the experiences of online fraud victims, and details how the impacts experienced extend beyond financial losses, to include deterioration in health and well-being, relationship breakdown, homelessness, and unemployment, and in the worst cases, suicidal ideation. Using online fraud as a case study, the author argues eligibility to access victim assistance schemes should consider harms suffered rather than the offence experienced. Consequently, the author advocates a shift in eligibility criteria of victim assistance schemes to facilitate much-needed support to online fraud victims.     

Reading jihad: Mapping the shifting themes of Inspire magazine

Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula’s Inspire magazine has received attention within Western academia and media for its role in inspiring and instructing a series of homegrown terrorist attacks. Reporting on the magazine often characterises it as a Western-centric instrument of jihadi discourse. This characterisation, while broadly accurate, is in need of refinement. Using a modified version of Jennifer Attride-Stirling’s method of thematic network analysis, this research visualises and analyses the narrative themes contained within fourteen issues of Inspire magazine. It demonstrates that the magazine’s narrative extends well beyond the Western world. In reality, Inspire’s themes centre not only on the West and its Muslim populations, but on local politics and broader religious issues. The magazine’s thematic focus has also shifted over time—particularly in response to (a) political volatility in the Middle East and North Africa, (b) the killing of prominent jihadists, and (c) the execution of successful individual jihad operations. Throughout these periods of change, Inspire struggled to maintain focus on its anti-Western narrative and proved easily distracted by local issues and the “martyrdom” of Al Qaeda leaders. Understanding Inspire’s thematic landscape and its shifting character prove important in understanding and responding effectively to its jihadi discourse.     

大学生心理问题与违法犯罪行为的相关性研究

大学生群体犯罪问题日益严重.大学生学业、就业压力大、人际关系紧张等诸多因素直接引发相应的心理问题,压力的不可逆转、观念的缺乏更新和心理调节、适应能力的欠缺,以及受个体人格特质的左右,从而引发相应的行为问题.大学生违法犯罪行为的频繁发生也在所难免.因而大学生行为问题的预警与干预非常重要.     

风险社会下职务犯罪办案风险防控机制的构建

检察机关在查办职务犯罪案件过程中，由于职务犯罪主体的特殊性，使得职务犯罪办案风险与普通刑事犯罪相比有明显不同。特别是当前职务犯罪呈现出智能化、隐蔽性等发展趋势，传统办案风险防控机制已不能适应侦查工作发展的需要。职务犯罪侦查部门应建立办案风险防控的长效机制，完善风险防控的应激机制，并根据办案阶段和风险类型的不同，可呆取多种形式化解办案风险。     

恐怖主义犯罪应对模式研究

司法模式、战争模式、治理模式是三种应对恐怖主义犯罪的模式。司法模式把恐怖主义界定为一种犯罪行为。为此反恐是侦查破案与打击犯罪的问题。此模式核心是恢复法律的权威,维护社会治安秩序。战争模式把恐怖主义界定为一种战争行为。为此反恐是打败或消灭敌人、取得战争胜利的问题。此模式核心是打击、歼灭恐怖分子并取得战争胜利。治理模式把恐怖主义界定为国家安全治理方面的缺失、低效或失败及其导致的对民众安全服务的缺失与低效。为此反恐是加强和改善有关恐怖主义问题的治理,以提供更有效的安全服务。此模式核心是塑造一种安全环境。治理模式对于恐怖主义及反恐问题界定不同于战争模式、司法模式。这种界定具有决定性影响。其直接决定这三种反恐模式在视野、目标、思路、标准、力量、措施与手段、时间维度、战略角度、精神层面等方面的不同。     

涉农犯罪的基本形态及防范对策

涉农犯罪是以农村、农业、农民为侵害对象的犯罪,主要指涉及危害农村社会稳定、破坏农业生产和损害农民利益的行为。它主要包括坑农害农犯罪、破坏农业生产犯罪、农村土地犯罪、农村职务犯罪、破坏农村民主管理犯罪以及败坏农村社会风气的犯罪。涉农犯罪的形态具有一定的社会基础,如不重视农业、不重视农村建设、农民的弱势化以及农村基层组织涣散等。因此,防范涉农犯罪的基本对策主要应从重视农业、重视农村基层建设、培育农民公民意识、提高农民文化素质以及强化农村社会控制力量等几个方面入手。     

常见四种暴恐犯罪实施特点与应急处置措施

当前，暴恐犯罪分子最常采取的恐怖活动方式主要有四种，即：恐怖刀斧砍杀、恐怖纵火焚烧、恐怖爆炸袭击、恐怖驾车冲撞。这些恐怖活动对人民群众的生命财产造成严重损失，对社会的和谐安宁构成巨大的威胁。因此，研究有效的反制措施和战术应对方法显得十分急迫。要抑制此类暴恐犯罪，应针对四种恐怖活动特点与方式，采取相应的应对措施和战术方法。     

R2P: “State of Play”

Abstract

Is R2P the most effective tool the international community has to prevent genocide, or the newest neo-imperial norm perpetuated by the most powerful states? In a dramatic performance of the key debates within R2P, each of these views is presented before Aristotlean and Tocquevillean insights are drawn upon to find a middle ground rooted in citizen resistance against mass atrocity crimes. R2P can both become a more effective tool of prevention and gain needed political legitimacy by drawing on the rich historical tradition of citizen resistance to empower local actors defying regimes engaged in mass atrocity crimes.     

Dismemberment and Mutilation: A Data-Driven Exploration of Patterns,Motives, and Styles

Classification of violent behavior, including dismemberment and mutilation, has become increasingly more significant. This study uses a data-driven classification system based upon knowledge drawn from the pertinent literature, and examination of cases of offenders who have dismembered or mutilated their victims. The latter were extracted from the Serial Killer Database, as well as media sources, and assessed for characteristics of the perpetrators and victim(s). An informational form was developed and used to establish quantitative parameters and objectively extract pertinent information that could be used for comparison and pattern analysis. Motives and styles, as well as the organized/disorganized dichotomy for murder and dismemberment/mutilation, were examined for each case. The majority of cases demonstrated defensive styles (60%), with the second most common being offensive styles (26%), which differs from previous studies that do not exclude older cases. Additionally, 68% of cases reflected organized patterns for both murder and the acts of dismemberment or mutilation. The results support a data-driven classification system that may serve as a foundational model for the investigation of specific motives of this type of deviant behavior in future research.
