Abe has introduced new economic ideas to address the domestic economic problems since becoming the Prime Minister, which has brought about a great debate over them in the country. In practice, Abeconomics has achieved initial results, but its future depends on such factors as whether the loose money policy would continue to affect economic growth, the Abe Cabinet would get rid of the long existing structural contradictions and the US would allow the Japanese Yen to remain weak.

New Risks in the Recovery of the World Economy： The Growth of Sovereign Debts and Crisis

During the financial crisis and economic recession, various economies have adopted expansionist financial and monetary policies. While anti-crisis measures have to some extend stopped the ＂free fall＂ economic decline, they have caused the public debts of both developed economies and some emerging economies to expand. The emerging economies of Asia should draw lessons and warnings from the sovereign debt crisis of Greece and make a balanced choice between economic recovery as well as growth and adoption of anti-cycle measures.

The Current China-EU Relations as Seen from the Trade Disputes over the Photovoltaic by Prof. Fang Lexian, a researcher at the Center for European Studies with Renmin University of China in Beijing, and a guest researcher of CPDS. Since July 2012, China and the European Union have been drawn into a trade dispute about the PV between the two sides. And up to early June of this year, quite a few world opinions even believe that a trade war between them can hardly be avoided. On the 10th anniversary of announcing the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and the European Union, it is of practical significance for us to understand and make correct judgment about the future developments of this relationship.
