Desublimating monstrous desire: the horror of gender in new extremist cinema

Known for graphic gore and formal experimentation, films of European new extremism stand out for the way in which they combine sex with violence, stressing the body in extreme modes of being and rendering its materiality emphatic, uncanny and profoundly disturbing. While this emphasis on sex and violence has been widely recognized in scholarly literature on new extremism, its connections to gendered conventions of genre cinema have not. In this article, we contend that films such as Philippe Grandrieux's Sombre (1998), Lars von Trier's Antichrist (2009) and Claire Denis's Trouble Every Day (2001) directly reference gendered tropes and conventions of horror cinema in their explorations of desire, sexual difference and violence. Far from being inconsequential or secondary concerns, we argue that emphatically gendered characteristics of cinematic horror are crucial to the disturbing impact of these films. By appropriating tropes from the horror film, but refusing them the closure and recuperation customary to narrative conventions of the genre, new extremist films critique these gendered implications, calling attention to the paradoxes and contradictions inherent in the gender politics of horror.

完善农民私权利的制度经济学分析

新鱼腥草素钠对小鼠鲍曼不动杆菌肺感染模型的保护作用

目的 构建小鼠鲍曼不动杆菌诱导的肺炎模型,观察新鱼腥草素钠对鲍曼不动杆菌肺部感染的保护作用。方法 将小鼠分为对照组、肺炎模型组、低剂量新鱼腥草素钠组和高剂量新鱼腥草素钠组。术前4 d和1 d利用环磷酰胺预处理各组C57BL/6小鼠,从术前3 d开始,低剂量新鱼腥草素钠组和高剂量新鱼腥草素钠组每天给予新鱼腥草素钠治疗,使用重症监护病房分离的鲍曼不动杆菌菌株制备新鲜菌液,通过气道接种方法接种至小鼠制备鲍曼不动杆菌肺感染模型,分别于接种后24、72 h进行小鼠肺及血液细菌计数,苏木精-伊红染色观察肺组织炎症变化,检测支气管肺泡冲洗液（bronchoalveolar lavage fluid,BALF）白细胞、中性粒细胞数量以及肿瘤坏死因子-α（tumor necrosis factor-α,TNF-α）、白细胞介素-1β（interleukin-1β,IL-1β）的水平。结果 小鼠接种鲍曼不动杆菌后肺及血液中细菌数量增多（P＜0.05）;小鼠肺部有严重的炎性反应和组织损伤,BALF中白细胞计数升高（P＜0.05）,TNF-α、IL-1β含量增加。而经过新鱼腥草素钠治疗后,小鼠肺及血液中细菌数量显著低于肺炎模型组,肺组织损伤较轻, BALF中白细胞、中性粒细胞以及TNF-α、IL-1β水平均显著升高（P＜0.05）。结论 新鱼腥草素钠能够显著提高鲍曼不动杆菌感染小鼠的白细胞数量和活性,从而增强抗感染能力。     

延胡索块茎生长发育过程观察

目的 观察延胡索不同生长期新生块茎和母块茎的特点。方法 用定点连续观察和石蜡切片法,跟踪观察延胡索块茎形成过程及新生块茎、母块茎的生长变化。结果 由地下茎产生的新生块茎生长起点在母株的茎节处,其形成需要某些必要的条件;母块茎退化成更新块茎的周皮,其脱落需要几个月的时间;栽培品产生双生及多生块茎较野生品常见;块茎中含有荧光生物碱。结论 新生块茎的形成方式具多样性;退化的周皮对更新块茎具保护作用;栽培品无性繁殖能力较强;荧光生物碱在延胡索成熟块茎中的分布广泛,没有聚集性。

A Quest for Feminist Space and Time

Abstract

This article offers an investigation of practical and political aspects of new materialism on the basis of texts accepted for publication in Women: A Cultural Review. The authors emphasize various political strategies that appear in the collected essays; above all they stress the practical aspects of theory itself. Theory as praxis is a concept inspired by contemporary philosophers such as Georges Canguilhem, Gilles Deleuze, Michel Foucault and Donna Haraway. It can also be the basis for a politics of location and it highlights the importance of being situated in specific sociocultural, historical, local and geographical contexts. The authors raised the question of the potential alliances between their specific, Polish context and the possibility of participating in and creating a broader feminist movement, which proves to be possible thanks to a variety of perspectives that are considered important and worth considering in new materialism. In the article, the Polish Kongres Kobiet (‘Women's Congress’) initiative is presented as a platform for feminist activity which combines various kinds of political, social and cultural interests, concerns and goals. Along with the importance of space for feminist politics, the authors consider time as a crucial constituent of feminist activism. Both rethinking the past—tradition, heritage, history—and directing reflection towards the future hopes, possibilities, politics and theories, constitute important characteristics of the new materialism approach. The authors conclude by introducing the notion of the ‘politics of squatting’, which serves as a metaphor for a feminist quest for space and time.     

合成大麻素检验方法研究进展

近年合成大麻素类物质(synthetic cannabinoids,SCs)的危害及滥用引起社会广泛关注,它们不仅具有类似天然大麻的致幻性,还有更强的副作用,包括潜在的神经精神毒性,严重影响人类身心健康。因此,国内外研究人员对合成大麻素及其代谢物的检验方法进行了相关研究。本文主要介绍了SCs的生理药理作用、主要分类等,对其检验方法研究进展进行了综述与展望,探讨了各检验方法的应用范围与选择依据,以期为SCs相关案件的检验鉴定提供参考。
