从物质到社会:经济学研究对象的三阶段演变及其内在逻辑

The main purpose of economic research is to improve national and social welfare. It contains not only material welfare, but also social benefits. Also, the welfare connotation changed at different times in history. Those changes lead to the evolution of economics. In fact, although modern mainstream economics still concentrate the subject of study on placement of scarce resources, the focus of research in economics will not be the issue of wealth distribution. The subject of economic study has experienced three significant changes. The first one, holding by Classical Economics is the focus on material welfare creation. The second one, highly emphasized by Neoclassical Economics, is the notion that includes distribution of resources and money exchange. The last one, promoted by modern mainstream economics after the 1970s, broadens the research content greatly due to referring to extensive social utility.

中国歌剧的音乐创作在第二次发展期(丰收期)中表现出5个方面的特点:一是在歌剧音乐的发展手法方面,表现出以传统戏曲音乐或当地民歌为主题音调,借鉴西洋作曲技法加以改编发展的特点。二是在人物音乐形象的刻画方面更具体,更富个性。三是在音乐的表现力方面,增强了交响乐队在表现戏剧性剧情方面的力度。四是在演唱形式的运用方面,对独唱、重唱及合唱等演唱形式的运用更加成熟。五是在宣叙调的写作方面,开始了集乐队衬托对白插入、诗句配乐乃至全剧演唱于一体的中国式的“宣叙调”写作方式。

分析风险投资给创业企业带来的作用,首先要分析风险投资在创业企业创生时期的作用。创业企业的创立和生产在个体层面是机会、能力、可获得资源共同合成的结果。折射到区域层面,创业企业生成的多寡则因区域内商机、人力资本、支持企业创生的资源供给程度等因素不同而产生差异。本文先从理论上讨论影响企业创生的因素,然后构建实证模型,使用我国省际面板数据来检验风险投资在创业企业创生时期的作用。

“Soviet mentality?” The role of shared political culture in relations between the Armenian state and Russia's Armenian diaspora

Russia's Armenians have begun to form diaspora institutions and engage in philanthropy and community organization, much as the pre-Soviet “established” diaspora in the West has done for years. However, the Russian Armenian diaspora is seen by Armenian elites as being far less threatening due to a shared “mentality.” While rejecting the mentality argument, I suggest that the relationship hinges on their shared political culture and the use of symbols inherited from the Soviet Union in the crafting of new diaspora and diaspora-management institutions. Specifically, “Friendship of the Peoples” symbolism appears to be especially salient on both sides. However, the difference between old and new diasporas may be more apparent than real. The Russian Armenian diaspora now engages in many of the same activities as the Western diaspora, including the one most troublesome to Armenia's elites: involvement in politics.     

Beyond access: Youth and digital skills

Abstract

There is an increasing growth in access to the Internet among youth, gained largely through cell phones, computer laboratories on campuses, home connections, and connections on personal computers. Also, the availability of social software tools for webpage creation, blogging, and creating and sharing multimedia content has made content creation relatively accessible. But are the youth using these tools effectively? What are the levels of digital skills among this population? This study investigates digital skills among South African university students. Through a survey conducted at ten universities, and two skill experiments conducted at two universities, this study explores the pattern of perceived skills and actual skills, to examine current trends of digital skills among the students. The findings reveal that forms of Internet access, the cost of access, social stratification, and inequalities have implications for the patterns of digital skills, with content creation being a challenge for many youth.
