大学生消费价值观遭遇文化帝国主义

作为当代市场经济社会中不可或缺的人格素质要求,大学生的消费行为及其价值观的形成过程应当被视为一个全面的意识形态教育及其信念的建构过程。在西方消费社会的文化价值观连同其中的意识形态开始直接影响当代大学生的思想状况的时候,有必要适当调整大学生思想政治教育的视角,开展围绕着“消费价值观教育”的相关改革。

作为宪政运动组成部分的中国警察近代化是以移植西方警察制度为基本路径的,但近代中国等级特权观念依旧牢固,个人主义依然发达,"官本位"观念仍极浓厚,教育水平也很落后,国民文化素质普遍不高,致使曾成为社会进步表征的中国近代警察很难有所作为.

A Political Economy Model of Workers Representation: The Case of Union Elections in Spain

In this article we present a political economy model to analyse the effects of union elections. Union elections are the prerequisite for participating in collective bargaining and they are a unique Spanish institution for union recognition. We apply standard political economy assumptions to model the union elections in order to understand their influence on the dynamics of the unemployment rate. Although union elections give the right to vote to virtually all workers, we show that insider power exists and that it introduces a hysteresis effect on the unemployment rate. In addition, the model shows how the date of the union elections can amplify the business cycle. An empirical analysis confirms the main predictions of the model.JEL Classification: K31, J51, E24     

Modeling Facts,Culture, and Cognition in the Gun Debate

Can empirical data generate consensus about how to regulate firearms? If so, under what conditions? Previously, we presented evidence that individuals' cultural worldviews explain their positions on gun control more powerfully than any other fact about them, including their race or gender, the type of community or region of the country they live in, and even their political ideology or party affiliation. On this basis, we inferred that culture is prior to facts in the gun debate: empirical data can be expected to persaude individuals to change their view on gun policies only after those individuals come to see those policies as compatible with their core cultural commitments. We now respond to critics. Canvassing the psychological literature, we identify the mechanisms that systematically induce individuals to conform their factual beliefs about guns to their culturally grounded moral evaluations of them. To illustrate the strength and practical implications of these dynamics, we develop a series of computer simulations, which show why public beliefs about the efficacy of gun control can be expected to remain highly polarized even in the face of compelling empirical evidence. Finally, we show that the contribution culture makes to cognition could potentially be harnessed to generate broad, cross-cultural consensus: if gun policies can be framed in terms that are expressively compatible with diverse cultural worldviews, the motivation to resist compelling empirical evidence will dissipate, and individuals of diverse cultural persuasions can be expected rapidly to converge in their beliefs about what policies are best. Constructing a new, expressively pluralistic idiom of gun control should therefore be the first priority of policy-makers and -analysts interested in promoting the adoption of sound gun policies.     

浅析中国公共文化服务理论研究中存在的问题

作为一种新生的理论,中国的公共文化服务理论研究刚刚起步,在当前国内的公共文化服务理论构建中,还存在一些问题,主要表现在:地方性的个案研究较多,系统性的宏观理论研究较少;国内公共文化服务理论的研究水平明显落后于公共文化服务的建设实践;西方成熟文化理论与中国公共文化建设实践的初级阶段存在某种程度的不对称等。面对这些问题,在今后的研究中,应更加注重本土化研究和系统性研究。     

和谐社会视阈下的文化体制改革

文化体制改革是中国特色社会主义文化的重要组成部分,它与和谐社会是一种双向互动的关系。一方面和谐社会引领着文化体制改革的方向,另一方面文化体制改革丰富了和谐社会的内容。进入新时期以来,面对人民日益增长的精神文化需求,需要我们在和谐社会视阈下积极的推进文化体制改革,兴起我国文化体制改革的新高潮,这对夺取全面建设小康社会新胜利、开创中国特色社会主义事业新局面、实现中华民族伟大复兴都具有重大而深远的意义。     

中西方不同文化下的面子理论研究

随着经济一体化的形成,中国与西方的经济往来越来越频繁。由于文化背景不同,言语交际中存在着多种多样的困难与障碍。其中,"面子"理论的不同就是一个主要问题。探讨了在中西方不同文化下"面子"理论的不同以及分析了造成理论不同的原因,从而避免跨文化交际失败。     

我国民众对公共文化服务体系建设的主观评价——基于四个地区的实证调研

2011年8月,笔者在北京市海淀区、江苏省常熟市、山西省朔州市和甘肃省平凉市这四个地区实施了公共文化服务体系的实地调研。结果表明,尽管现有的公共文化服务已能初步满足人民群众的需求,但是仍存在诸多需改进之处。未来的公共文化体系建设应坚持政府主导,加大财政投入,同时积极鼓励社会力量参与,并在法制化的基础上因地制宜,切实满足人民群众不断变化的文化需求。     

书法与教育、读书

该文阐述了重视书法教育的意义不仅在于提高学生的书写技能,还可以增加学生对祖国语言文字的认识,加深他们对传统文化的理解,拓宽眼界,陶冶情操,培养其审美情趣和审美能力,全面提升其素质。并提出,书法不等于写字。仅仅写好字并不一定能成为好的书法家;饱读诗文、博览群书,文化修养极高、又能写好字的人,才能成为好的书法家。
