E‐campaigning: what it is and how to do it

Building community support for a candidate or a cause has traditionally been the essence of grass roots advocacy within the issues management process. And while political decisions in democracies are still made by the establishment, increasingly voters are expressing their views between elections on how an issue should be settled—and those who seek to retain political power are listening and responding. Corporations now need to adopt these tactics to show community support and to gain a legitimate seat at the table when decisions are made. Copyright © 2003 Henry Stewart Publications

Treatment Fidelity in Sex Offender Programming: Assessing Delivery across Community Providers

In an effort to focus on treatment fidelity in the sex offender field, this study evaluated the treatment delivery of ten clinicians who provided treatment to sex offenders under community supervision. Data collection and analysis involved a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. Results revealed that treatment providers varied in their use of empirically-supported treatment techniques, their participation in the community containment approach, and their adherence to the treatment contract. These findings provide support for the continued study of treatment fidelity in the corrections literature. Implications and future directions are discussed.

非常的夫妻财产制是相对于普通的夫妻财产制而言的一种在特殊的情况下适用的财产制度,在世界许多国家的婚姻家庭法中都有规定。我国由于有关夫妻财产制的立法的不完善性,因此,在婚姻法中没有这项制度的规定。鉴于市场经济条件下夫妻财产关系与社会交易安全的密切联系,本文在借鉴世界三个有代表性的国家的立法的基础上,对我国设立非常的夫妻财产制的必要性、可行性进行了探讨,并就此提出了有关的立法设想。     

学习型社区建设中的地方政府责任

学习型社区建设是社区建设的一种全新模式,现已引起了世人的广泛关注。发展学习型社区离不开地方政府,地方政府在学习型社区建设中的角色定位和责任体现在:它不仅是学习型社区的倡导者和推动者,而且是学习型社区的组织者和协调者,还是学习型社区的宏观指导者和组织保障者。     

Some Remarks on Implementation of Community Sanctions and Measures

We must acknowledge, of course, that custody must be available as the ultimate sanction for criminal offending, but it must be an option of last resort. At last, not at least, there must be a realisation of the enormous cost - in economic and particularly in human terms. Therefore, the basic question is: What is the cheapest and at the same time the most effective way of punishment, bearing in mind the failure of strong repressive measures and only a partial success of depenalisation and decriminalisation? The community sanctions and measures seem to be the best solution and they can, to a certain extent, meet the expectation put into them. I am not going to describe the individual alternatives or the way of their implementation in Western Europe or North America. I would like to concentrate on some problems related to their introduction, which are faced in post-totalitarian societies.
