Could Defects on a Rubber Stamp be Reproduced on a Duplicated Rubber Stamp?

The examination of stamp impressions has been an integral part of questioned document examination since its inception. Matching in design details and unique defects has proven to be essential factors for rubber stamps and stamp impression examination. In this study, several duplicate stamps were made from various rubber stamp manufacturers in Hong Kong, from the same original stamp impression(s). The objective was to examine the stamp impressions prepared from these duplicated stamp products and compared with each other and to determine whether they could be distinguished from the source stamp impression(s); by comparison of the size and defects deliberated introduced onto the latter. Further consideration of this study was an attempt to create a perfect duplicate stamp from an original stamp impression. The results of the analysis showed that the quality of source stamp impression(s) and scanner device of the stamp manufacturing process, and the knowledge of the stamp manufacturer were critical to the quality and outcome of the duplicated stamp products. It is concluded that although a perfect duplicate stamp could only be made under several essential control conditions, it was still possible to create a duplicate stamp that replicated the features of the original when a high-quality source stamp impression was available.     

裂解气相色谱-质谱法分析鉴别轮胎胎面胶

目的对裂解气相色谱-质谱法分析橡胶的裂解条件进行优化,研究利用橡胶特征裂解产物鉴别轮胎胎面胶。方法采用裂解气相色谱-质谱法,确定对NR、BR、SBR的裂解条件及其特征裂解产物,然后根据特征裂解产物及其相对含量并结合聚类分析,对38种轮胎胎面胶进行区分鉴别。结果确定了裂解温度590℃、裂解时间15s及三种橡胶的特征裂解产物;将38个轮胎胎面胶样品的主体成分归为4类,其中NR类5个、SBR类12个、NR/BR并用类5个、NR/SBR并用类16个,且能够对大部分并用类轮胎胎面胶进行鉴别。结论通过优化裂解条件,裂解产物重复性好,特征裂解产物明显,能够确定轮胎胎面胶的主体成分类别并能对大多数并用类轮胎胎面胶样品进行区分鉴别。

The rubber tree is native to the humid tropics and has traditionally been cropped in the equatorial zone between 10°N and 10°S; in mainland Southeast Asia this includes portions of southern Thailand, southeastern Vietnam, and southern Myanmar. In the early 1950s, the Chinese government began to invest in growing rubber in environments perceived to be ecologically marginal and eventually established state rubber plantations in areas that lie as far north as 22° north latitude. China's success in growing rubber in these ‘non-traditional’ environments expanded the habitat in which rubber could be planted and pushed it further north. Today entrepreneurs from China, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand are investing in rubber plantations in areas of Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar, northwest Vietnam, northeast Thailand, and Yunnan, China. The impact of rubber on smallholders, however, is not yet clear. Experiences in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, China and northeast Thailand clearly show that smallholder rubber production is a viable and effective proposition in moving households and communities out of poverty. By contrast in countries such as Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar many farmers are struggling to maintain their lands and forests in the face of growing pressures from investors and government institutions to impose concession arrangements.     

9mm警用转轮手枪橡胶弹射入口的形态特征

目的观察橡胶弹射人口的形态特征,并探讨其法医学意义。方法使用9mm警用转轮手枪发射橡胶弹,在实验动物胸腹部侧面垂直射击,射击距离分别为紧密接触射击（0cm）,相对接触射击（1～6cm）,近距离射击（6-60cm）和远距离射击（60cm～有效射程25m）。92式手枪采取相同方式射击实验动物作为对照。观察射入口的形态特征,制作组织病理学切片,HE染色显微镜下观察。结果橡胶弹接触射击和近距离射击,射入口边缘整齐,有明显的擦拭轮、挫伤轮和火药斑纹;远距离射击,可见射人口边缘撕裂,挫伤轮明显增宽,皮下出血显著;与手枪弹射入口形态特征明显不同。结论9mm警用转轮手枪橡胶弹射入口典型的形态特征,可作为此类损伤的诊断指标。     

解析9mm警用转轮手枪橡皮弹的战术性能

9mm警用转轮手枪是中国公安部自主研发的新型武器系统,为满足不同的战术需要,配发有低侵彻的手枪弹和非致命性的橡皮弹。其中9mm橡皮弹的弹头质量2.9g,初速度为110m/s,主要用于制服犯罪分子、驱散非法聚众闹事人群。在目标缺少防护的情况下用9mm警用转轮手枪,在五米内射击头部和胸腹部能够造成严重损伤,不排除危及生命的可能;6到15米射击胸部以下是相对安全的;在20米以外射击的精确度明显下降,可能无法命中目标。     

Short run and long run effects of the world crude oil prices on the Malaysian natural rubber and palm oil export prices

With regard to the increasing in world crude oil prices, it is time to examine more carefully the claim that the increase in world crude oil prices tends to increase commodity prices. Hence, we examine the major commodity prices in Malaysia namely palm oil prices and natural rubber prices. We will analyse the relationship of both commodities＇ prices with world crude oil prices using the autoregressive distribution lag （ARDL） approach. Besides the analysis of bound testing approaches to see the level of relationships, short run and long run effects also are carried out in order to investigate which period has been significantly effected by the increase of world crude oil prices. The result reveals that long run relationship between world crude oil prices and both commodities prices exists.     

傅立叶红外光谱（ATR）法无损检测轮胎橡胶

该实验利用傅立叶红外光谱（ATR）法对不同品牌的轮胎橡胶进行了检测,并根据实验所得FTIR光谱图在红外范围内出现特征峰个数的不同,将被检轮胎橡胶样品进行了分类。该检测方法为无损检测,所需样品量小且检测速度较快。     

利用热重法鉴别汽车轮胎橡胶

目的建立热重法对汽车轮胎橡胶进行鉴定的方法。方法应用热重法对12种轮胎橡胶样品进行分析。结果分别获得了12种轮胎橡胶的TG及DTG曲线和它们在三个阶段的失重百分率、DTG的峰温。结论可以方便地鉴别组成不同或牌号不同的轮胎橡胶制品,为划定与缩小嫌疑车辆的范围和认定肇事车辆提供依据。
