The Influence of Parole Officers’ Attitudes on Supervision Practices

The supervision of offenders conditionally released into communities is one of the primary functions of parole officers. Scholars have hypothesized that officers’ attitudes towards supervision may influence their job performance. Yet there are few studies which have examined the influence of parole officers’ attitudes on their actual supervision practices, and studies of the attitude–behavior relationship among other justice system actors have revealed mixed findings. This study involved an examination of the relationship between officers’ attitudes towards supervision and their supervisory responses to offender behavior. Findings revealed that officers’ attitudes influence their intended behaviors. However, results of the analyses of the potential relationship between officers’ attitudes and their actual behaviors were mixed. Officers’ attitudes had no effect on their rate of issuing community-based sanctions, but officers who held more authoritative attitudes were more likely to pursue revocation hearings for offender noncompliance.

信息时代犯罪定量标准的体系化构建

伴随着信息技术和互联网的迅猛发展,传统的犯罪定量标准体系在信息时代日渐滞后,难以适用于网络空间和网络犯罪。司法实践中对于犯罪定量标准在"点"上有所探索,但是在"面"上整体滞后,缺乏成体系的犯罪定量标准体系,根本无法对于信息时代不断增长和变异的新型犯罪进行公正、高效的定量评价。信息时代犯罪定量标准的整体创建遭遇着惯性阻碍,表现在信息时代犯罪定量标准体系的单一化倾向与数量化倾向。对于网络犯罪创建体系化的犯罪定量标准是当务之急;而创新全新定量标准体系的整体发展路径,是在采用复合化方案与情节化方案。

A wave of psychological forces in second language learning： An Arabic experience at IIUM

Psychological bases of success deal with relatively inner-self factors. The paper presents basic understandings of learning process as well as a model of identifying factors of second language learning success. There are a number of reasons why some students learn Arabic much more quickly than the others. Learner＇s psychological situation is one of the most expected determination factor. Therefore, its nature has to be described, its function needs to be identified and analyzed, especially in term of motivating students to have better performance in learning Arabic as a second language in the context of International Islamic University Malaysia （IIUM）.     

大学生专业满意度与就业态度相关性实证研究分析——以非师范类思想政治教育专业学生为例

针对全国八所综合性大学的非师范类思想政治教育专业学生的专业满意度和就业态度进行调查。结果显示:非师范类思想政治教育专业大学本科生的专业满意度普遍不高;虽然就业方向明确,但就业信心较差。并进一步分析了专业满意度对该专业同学的就业态度影响情况,发现课程兴趣是影响就业态度的直接因素,课程安排、教学效果、专业图书资源是影响就业态度的间接因素。明确培养目标、改革课程体系、建立导师培养机制、提高教师课堂教学能力、建立系统的就业指导体系等有助于提高非师范类思想政治教育专业同学的专业满意度。

《资本论》在马克思主义理论中享有至高无上的地位.然而,自从世界和中国发生重大变化以来,深入研读和系统学习《资本论》的情景已成为过去.是《资本论》真的已经“过时”了,还是我们的认识出了问题？值得深思反省.最重要的是要搞清楚,我们究竟从《资本论》中学习什么,如何用于指导中国的实践.我们从《资本论》中可以和应当学习的东西,主要包括两个方面：一方面是从《资本论》的精神实质和基本观点得到的教诲;另一方面是从《资本论》的立场、观点、方法得到的启示.我们首先应当从总体上统揽《资本论》的框架概要和精神实质,准确无误地把握《资本论》的基本观点和主要结论,坚持以“科学上的诚实”精神对待、解读和运用《资本论》.在此基础上,最重要的是用于指导走“中国特色社会主义道路”的实践.
