Windows 7 Antiforensics: A Review and a Novel Approach

In this paper, we review literature on antiforensics published between 2010 and 2016 and reveal the surprising lack of up‐to‐date research on this topic. This research aims to contribute to this knowledge gap by investigating different antiforensic techniques for devices running Windows 7, one of the most popular operating systems. An approach which allows for removal or obfuscation of most forensic evidence is then presented. Using the Trojan software DarkComet RAT as a case study, we demonstrate the utility of our approach and that a Trojan Horse infection may be a legitimate possibility, even if there is no evidence of an infection on a seized computer's hard drive. Up‐to‐date information regarding how forensic artifacts can be compromised will allow relevant stakeholders to make informed decisions when deciding the outcome of legal cases involving digital evidence.

数码翻拍的图像质量分析及应用标准化探讨

翻拍是司去鉴定中固定平面类证据的常用方法之一。数码翻拍突破了传统翻拍的界限。提供了高效方法。但其图像质量及应用标准化研究尚未形成体系。本文以数码相机为例，深入分析影响翻拍质量的各因素，并对其在司法实践中如何保证和提高翻拍质量进行技术方法上的探讨。通过分析研究。界定了数码翻拍中器材使用标准、拍摄条件标准及操作标准。为司法鉴定中的翻拍应用标准化提供了借鉴与参考。     

数字图书馆的著作权保护

随着网络环境下数字图书馆的建设,传统的法律制度已不能使著作权在网络世界得到有效保护。因此,最高人民法院和全国人大常委会适时出台有关司法解释,使长期的数字图书馆法律问题得到了解决,同时在实践中结合数字化转换应采取的原则,能更有力地保证网络传播中著作权人的相关权利。     

基于Agent的异构数据库统一检索系统设计与实现

结合数字图书馆异地网络数据库的不可操作的技术特点,提出利用HTTP协议构建检索代理Agent实现异构数据库的统一检索,阐述利用Agent技术实现统一检索的系统体系结构和检索模型,讨论在VB.NET环境中系统主要功能模块的实现方法,最后对系统测试结果进行分析。

Populism and the politics of misinformation

ABSTRACT

The proliferation of fake news and of conspiracy theories has coincided with the emergence of the digital media. Although the extensive distribution of misinformation is nothing new, the emergence of online media proved to be especially fertile for conspiratorial populists in transmitting distorted information. Since 2016, conspiracy theories, disguised as news, have spread like a snowstorm across the political scene on both sides of the Atlantic. As I discuss in this paper, this climate has enabled conspiratorial populists to be especially successful in spreading suspicion of established knowledge, which they claim to have been produced by the elite and which is eschewed for its association with the powerful. Alongside the diminished gatekeeping capabilities of the mainstream media, it thus becomes ever more difficult for people to distinguish between factual stories and fictitious news often spread via unscrupulous websites, as both can be presented in the same guise.
