非营利组织志愿者的管理与开发

志愿者是现实社会生活中重要的社会资源，也是非营利组织中最具特色的人力资源。随着非营利组织的发展壮大，志愿者在中国社会中的价值越来越明显。但由于各种原因，非营利组织志愿者管理问题日益突出，成为非营利组织可持续发展的难题之一。因此，加强对非营利组织的志愿者管理与开发研究，不仅具有理论价值，更具有极强的现实意义。

"打工仔"是我国改革开放后出现的新事物,由于人们思想观念的严重滞后,"打工仔"的社会政治地位被普遍忽视,他们已经和正在遭受着原始资本主义时期那种普遍存在的剥削和压迫.切实保障"打工仔"的基本权利,必须首先明确"打工仔"的工人阶级地位,严格依法保护"打工仔"这种新兴工人阶级的基本权利,依法从严约束私营企业主等新兴剥削阶级的经营行为.     

From Politics to Economics at the Thai–Cambodian Border: Plus Ça Change...

This paper looks at border relations between Thais and Cambodians over the last thirty years, in the context of the developing Thai polity and economy. It considers the salience of both ethnicity and nationality in shaping Thai interactions with Khmers. It suggests that as the threat of violent regional conflict diminished, the shared border came to represent important economic opportunities for both Thais and Cambodians. However, rhetorics of national interest and regional development notwithstanding, the beneficiaries of this transnational trade are neither nation nor state, but specific interest groups working through the structures of government and military on both sides of the border.     

Migration from Bangladesh: Impulses,Risks and Exploitations

Migration and emigration from Bangladesh is a pervasive phenomenon. Historically, large-scale migration from the region constituting the present Bangladesh started after tea plantations were introduced to Assam by the British in the early 19th century. Gradually, the number of migrants from this region increased due to geographic location, climate change and poverty. Over the years, there has been a change in the gender pattern of migration, where the proportion of female migrants has increased significantly. These migrants play a significant role in the Bangladesh economy, as remittances constituted about 8.21% of gross domestic product in 2014. This article examines why, despite the many dangers that the migrants face, including violence in the host countries and exploitation by their ‘masters’, the number of migrants from Bangladesh continues to rise constantly.     

When I grow up… I don't want to be broke: The problems with child actor trust fund requirements

Child actors have consistently been treated as typical minority laborers, with all of their earnings legally belonging to their parents. After many child actors were left with scraps at the end of their minority, Coogan's law was enacted in California to require parents of child actors to withhold some of their earnings in a trust. However, almost a century after Coogan's law was passed, there are still many child actors left with nothing. This Note proposes to both enact further union regulations to protect child actors in every state, and also to raise the required amount withheld from fifteen percent (15%) to fifty percent (50%).
