高职英语教学存在的问题及应对措施

高职学生不同于普通高校学生,学生水平参差不齐,学生普遍缺乏自主学习能力,另外,中西方文化差异使得师生之间难以互动,教学难度较大。对此,应采用分级、小班教学,丰富课堂的教学方式,多与学生互动,激发学生学习兴趣,以提高学生的英语水平。     

Public Trust in (or Cynicism about) Other Nations across Time

This study uses survey data from 1994 and 1999 to examine the nature, causes, and consequences of Americans generalized beliefs about other nations during the decade prior to September 11, 2001—a relatively sedate era in international relations compared to the Cold War and post-September 11 periods. As was the case after the terrorist attacks, relatively few citizens expressed high levels of trust in other nations; more did in 1999 than in 1994, however. Partisanship, beliefs about government, age, and education were related to trust in other nations at the individual level, with some of these relationships varying over time. Trust in other nations, in turn, was related to preferences for diplomacy and support for military interventions. The strength of the former relationship varied over time, whereas the nature of the latter relationship depended on the nature of the intervention in question. The findings raise the question of why so few Americans trust other nations not only during periods of external threat but also during quieter times.

国家的自我认同与“他者”的关系——理论与渊源

20世纪末在国际关系领域中,所谓"认同"的问题得到了广泛的关注.本文认为,国家的自我认同就是国家的自我意识,是国家对于如何"安身(在社会中的定位)立命(存在的意义)"的反思."他者"是一种对立性的存在.在国家认同的问题上,西方学者往往都倾向于将"自我"与"他者"间的斗争视为达到自我认同的途径.这并不是国际关系学者的独创,因为西方思想的两大源头古希腊思想和希伯来思想,在对自然和社会的看法中都表达了相似的观点,并且在西方近代思想中也得到了反映.中国传统思想中关于个体自我认同的看法与西方有所不同,在此基础上可以尝试构造中国自己的国家认同理论.     

公司相互持股的法律问题探讨

两个或两个以上的公司,基于某种特定目的,互相持有对方公司发行的股份,称之为公司法人之间的相互持股。公司相互持股虽然在某种程度上可以促进规模经济的发展,但是它也会给现行法律带来许多制度构架和适用上的问题,涉及到公司法、证券法、反垄断法、税法、会计等诸多方面。世界各国或地区的法律大都对公司相互持股有所规制,以期尽可能减少公司相互持股对经济发展和法律制度的不利影响,而发挥其有利的一面。本文通过对我国现行立法的检讨,提出了对我国公司相互持股的立法完善之构思。     

其他行政规范性文件法治初论

在行政机关的抽象行政行为中,最为人们忽视然而对公民、法人和其他组织最贴近并经常影响人民的日常生活的是除行政法规和行政规章之外的其他行政规范性文件。由于种种原因,行政法学界对其甚少关注,而这导致了理论上和实践中对其他行政规范性文件的许多重要问题存在认识上的缺陷与分歧。本文对涉及其他规范性文件的涵义、与政策的关系、制定的主体及其权限、合法性审查和可诉性等重要方面进行了较深入的讨论与研究,尝试澄清谬误并构建适合于我国实际的,能促进其他规范性文件法治化的行政法律制度。

我国罚金执行制度的检讨与罚金易科制度的建构

我国刑法53条规定的罚金刑的随时追缴制和罚金减免制度不符合刑罚理性要求,对罚金刑的执行所起的作用也有违立法的初衷,是不科学的也是不合理的.罚金的易科执行经实践是行之有效的方法.本文拟通过对我国罚金执行立法进行检讨,分析罚金易科制度的可行性,找出其合理依据,并提出了完善这一制度的建议.     

民营企业财产继承法律问题研究

为保障民营企业的整体和可持续发展,处理好财产继承问题至关重要,否则会引发风险和带来危机.民营企业目前主要存在产权不清晰、不完备、缺乏创新,不同类型的民营企业与实现财产继承权及其他权利存在不衔接、不配套等问题,现行继承法及相关制度不健全、不完善等诸多法律难题.对此,研究并提出改革与完善产权制度,建构与完善现行继承法律制度与企业法律制度及其相互衔接的构想和建议,则具有现实性、重要性和紧迫性.     

‘Blackberrying in the Sun’? Modernism and the Ageing Woman in Rhys’s Good Morning,Midnight, Woolf’s Mrs Dalloway and Sackville-West’s All Passion Spent

Jean Rhys, Virginia Woolf and Vita Sackville-West break with tradition in re-envisioning the aging woman. No longer content with representing the forlorn dowager or the redundant females of Gaskell’s Cranford, these writers challenge earlier representations while also confronting modernism itself. Instead of focusing on youth, they ‘make it [modernism] new’ by carefully detailing the various ways ageism and sexism make us ‘the other’, as they speak out against the interlocking oppressions of ageism and sexism. Whereas Rhys underscores what it means to be an impoverished, aging woman, Woolf and Sackville-West shift their concerns to the ways in which their characters come to terms with aging. For Woolf, there is both a sense of mourning and a sense of celebration as Clarissa attempts to unite her world through her ‘offering’ of parties that ‘defy’ the Gods. In contrast, Sackville-West’s dutiful Lady Slane claims her independence for the first time in her life, as she refuses the ways in which her children infantilize her.
