大学教师学生都需要进行职业心理训练,正确处理严格监考与诚信考试的关系。社会从业人员,都有其行业心理要求和社会职责的履行。履行职责,时而会产生法律责任与道德规范的矛盾,道德责难也就时常难免。警察院校应该对从警人员进行诚信执法与职业道德的心理素质训练,并对这种训练进行实证研究。     

Methodological and Ethical Challenges in Partnering for Refugee Research: Evidence From Two Australian Studies

In this article we reflect on methodological and ethical challenges encountered while conducting two large, nationally funded studies on refugee resettlement in Australia. We focus on collaborative research partnerships, specifically with “industry partners,” wherein the partners may have different understandings of the research process and different agendas, and with bilingual research assistants. We analyze methodological challenges primarily pertaining to collecting good-quality data in cross-cultural contexts and ethical challenges concerned with ensuring confidentiality in recently arrived, tightly knit communities where community insiders assisted in accessing respondents and collecting data.     

Cross-cultural conflicts within sports teams

Since sports are increasingly used a way to bring formerly conflicting parties together post-conflict, more work needs to be done to ensure that sports are actually conducted in a way that promotes peace rather than exacerbates the conflict. Since many sports-for-peace programs cross cultural boundaries, this exploratory study was conducted to gain insights into interpersonal and cross-cultural conflicts within sports teams. This research was accomplished with three very culturally diverse teams of college-level athletes in a public university in the United States and focused on the types of conflicts, where those conflicts occurred, how the conflicts developed, who was involved, how the conflicts ended, and their effects on team cohesion. The findings of the study give valuable insight into how cultural differences and their resultant ramifications were viewed and worked through by the athletes involved. The authors also considered some ethical issues that resulted when groups of athletes were brought together from different cultures. This study is a first in a series of studies that examine the types of cross-cultural conflicts that occur within sports teams. The findings in this study are of interest to physical education instructors, coaches, peace education teachers, and professionals using sports to promote peace.     

Parliamentary ethics regulation and trust in European democracies

This article presents a three-dimensional conceptualisation of conflict of interest (COI) regulation directed towards assuring the impartial and unbiased decision-making of parliamentarians. It distinguishes and separately measures (based on a new dataset) COI strictness, sanctions and transparency and shows that they indeed constitute empirically separate dimensions of parliamentary ethics regimes adopted in European democracies. In order to illustrate the usefulness of these indices, the article then examines the relationship between the three indices and trust in national parliaments across 25 democracies. Unlike the Sanctions and Transparency indices, the COI Strictness Index (composed of strictness of rules and enforcement) has a significant and robust negative association with trust, which highlights the importance of disentangling different elements of COI regimes. While future research has to explore the causal relationships between COI regulation and trust, capturing the complexity of COI regimes in an unbiased fashion and thereby making them comparable across European democracies is an essential step towards doing so.     

Virtuous power Turkey in sub-Saharan Africa: the ‘Neo-Ottoman’ challenge to the European Union

European officials veer towards exceptionalism in their policy communications concerning the EU’s global role, particularly in terms of African development. This article poses a rejoinder to such tendencies through examination of the rise of ‘virtuous power Turkey’ in Africa. It examines how Turkish elites constructed a moralised ‘neo-Ottoman’ foreign policy in wake of stalled EU accession. It then underscores how elites framed humanitarian interventions in sub-Saharan Africa in contrast to the perceived neo-colonialism of an EU ‘other’. In this vein, the article explores the meaning of normative ‘neo-Ottomanism’ for ostensible beneficiaries in Africa, for the EU, and for Turkey itself.

算法自动化决策中的女性劳动者权益保障

算法自动化决策在招聘、任务分配、劳动评估甚至解雇决策中发挥着日益重要的作用,但其对于职场性别平等影响的研究尚未展开。本文尝试通过对国内外职场算法性别歧视案例的分析,探讨算法在数字经济时代就业劳动市场不同阶段发挥的重要作用,分析算法自动化决策可能嵌入既有的性别偏见,成为隐藏性别歧视的分配手段,并且造成难以觉察的性别歧视后果。应对算法自动化决策带来的职场性别歧视,应扩大传统劳动法关于性别平等制度的适用,并具体化算法自动化决策规制的相关制度。此外,还应积极构建性别平等的算法伦理,建设覆盖算法生命周期的性别平等制度,并发展针对算法性别偏见的审计与评估制度,通过制度设计和社会支持系统促进数字经济时代的职场性别平等。
