贵阳“生态文化”与“文化生态”建设研究

生态文化与文化生态建设既是生态文明城市建设的重要内容,也是容易混淆的两个重要范畴。明晰＂生态文化＂与＂文化生态＂的基本内涵,有助于找准＂生态文化＂与＂文化生态＂建设的着力点。贵阳生态文明城市建设已有一定基础,探索贵阳＂生态文化＂与＂文化生态＂建设的现状与存在的问题,并提出切合贵阳实际的一些对策性建议,极具理论指导意义和实践意义。     

高校“统战成员”在统战文化建设与工作中的多重角色与使命探析

高校是文化的前沿阵地,亦是深化统战文化研究、挖掘统战文化内涵、彰显统战文化价值功能的重要窗口。高校“统战成员”是统战文化的一如既往的践行者、不可或缺的创造者和举足轻重的传播者。高校“统战成员”的使命和任务从根本上说是与中国共产党是一致的。高校“统战成员”务必有机地将社会主义核心价值观和马克思主义指导思想内化为自身的精神需求、价值取向和政治理念,自觉地成为社会主导意识形态和观念的体现者,有力推动我国和谐高校与和谐社会建设。     

关于职工文化建设的几个问题

我国的职工文化建设,目前主要存在认识上有误区、行动上避重就轻、“体制”上存在障碍、制度机制不健全、活动开展深度与广度不够、管理者素质亟待提高、建设缺乏资金等问题,今后应从建立健全职工文化建设领导体制、加大经费投入力度、重视指标量化、建立激励和约束机制等方面做些切实的工作.     

试析中国特色社会主义文化的先进性和人民性

文化有先进与落后之分,必须通过生产力、社会进步、人的发展等标准加以评判。同时,处于一定社会阶段的文化是特定阶级或阶层根本利益的观念反映,具有一定的阶级属性。中国特色社会主义文化既推动着我国社会主义初级阶段经济社会的全面进步,是当代中国的先进文化,又是从群众来、到群众中去、推劫人的全面发展的人民大众的文化,是先进性与人民性的统一。     

Political Evangelism

In 2000, UN Security Council Resolution 1325 called for the increased participation of women in formal political processes surrounding violent conflict. However, worldwide, women continue to be a minority in formal politics, particularly in situations of armed violence. Contrary to this trend, women have played an influential role in the Casamance peace process in southern Senegal, where a rebel movement has been fighting for independence since 1982. This article assesses the methodology, constraints and, most importantly, the gendered opportunity structures surrounding the women's peace movement in Casamance. It demonstrates how women participate in the politics of war and peace through an astute manipulation of gendered platforms and a judicious reading of political context, thus propelling their voices into the formal political arena. This case study highlights practical and local approaches to political participation that may be relevant to women around the world.     

Ethnicity and the politics of heritage in Uzbekistan

The UNESCO office in Uzbekistan has been relatively successful in nominating cultural practices to The Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Selection for the List conveys prestige and draws international attention to local culture that is deemed of universal value. What is striking about the first successful nominations from Uzbekistan is that they point to the inseparability of Tajik and Uzbek culture, a touchy subject for both Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. In this article the author looks at how the politics of ethnic cultural heritage play out through these projects, highlighting the tensions between a rhetoric of diversity promoted both by UNESCO and by the official national ideology, and practices that demonstrate a more mundane, ethnically exclusive sense of national culture. Although ostensibly celebrating the rich diversity of Uzbekistan's national culture and eschewing the strict delineation of Tajik culture from Uzbek culture, the effect of UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage programmes is to perpetuate the occlusion of Tajik culture in Uzbekistan.

Issues in teaching terrorism as cultural artefact

From a humanities course on terrorism that focuses on how terrorist ideology and acts are transformed into cultural artefacts, several pedagogical–theoretical issues have emerged: the incongruity of viewing terrorist violence as art; 9/11 as an ahistorical event; the impossibility of defining terrorism; the infiltration (trivialisation?) of terrorism into popular culture; subgenres of terrorist works, each with its own paradigm; and the iconoclastic potential of many terrorist texts and films. These issues have implications for the curricular design of terrorism courses and for the role of instructors – in academia and in the larger community.     

¿Por qué prevalece el estado de derecho? una aproximación comparada a las explicaciones centradas en la cultura de la legalidad

The objective of this paper is to analyze the relation between the concept of the Rule of Law and the culture of legality from a compared approach in order to establish the scope and limitations of explanations that are based in cultural factors. More specifically, we are interested in comparing the scope and limitations of culture-based explanations on why the Rule of Law prevails in certain countries: these explanations are centered in the construction of wide agreements between social actors and the control by civil society. Also we consider equally important the comparing of different definitions of culture of legality and the strategies and instruments that allow its construction. For this purpose we will center, specially, in the experiences of Hong Kong, Palermo and Bogotá.

改革开放以来,国内学者对毛泽东的新民主主义文化思想进行了深入的研究,既取得了丰硕的理论成果也诞生了一大批很有影响的学者。对这些研究成果做一个系统梳理,可以归纳概括出学者们研究的角度,以及有待深入研究的领域。从横向的角度概括已取得成果的特点;揭示研究学者们研究毛泽东新民主主义思想所经历的阶段,以及每一个阶段的特点;已有成果研究的重点和热点问题,包括毛泽东新民主主义的形成、理论体系、特征、作用和局限性等仍具有一定学术价值。
