朝鲜与国际体系的互动冲突——基于边缘化心理视角

边缘化国家正是在反体系运动与大国遏制的互动过程中建构了关于自我的边缘化心理身份,而这一身份反过来又激发了它们的反体系行为,于是冲突在对抗与缓和的不断转换中周而复始地上演。朝鲜作为国际体系中的边缘化国家,在与体系的长期互动过程中,正是在反体系运动的实践等主要因素影响下,建构了自我的边缘化心理身份,而这一身份又引发了朝鲜以发展核力量为主的持续的国家反体系运动,大国则通过遏制或战争威胁来应对朝鲜的边缘化行为,朝鲜半岛的安全困境正是基于这一互动逻辑而产生的。     

“海外汉学界孔孟思想”专题研究：路向与方法：北美汉学家论孔子说《诗》

英语学界对孔子文学思想的研究实属晚近之事,自上世纪70年代以来,在北美地区陆续出现了一些研究成果.这些研究大体沿着两个路向展开,一是探讨孔子的诗学观,二是论述孔子思维方式与其文学思想之间的关系.研究方法上涉及：聚焦实用与抒情两种质素、注重文本细读基础上的多时段考察、援用二重证据法、汲取西方文学理论,引入后现代主义视域.     

中共中央北方局与西北抗日民族统一战线的形成

日军侵华使中国国内矛盾发生了新的变化，中日民族矛盾逐步取代国内阶级矛盾而转化为中国社会的主要矛盾。1935年，中国共产党发出《八一宣言》，提出“兄弟阋于墙外御其侮”的抗日救亡主张。同年底，瓦窑堡会议确立了建立抗日民族统一战线的总方针和总策略。中共中央北方局遵照中央指示，迅速在华北以及西北、东北等地展开广泛而深入的抗日民族统一战线工作。其中，除中共中央直接与西北地区国民党党、政、军等各地方势力开展的抗日民族统一战线工作，北方局在全面抗战爆发前也与张学良东北军、杨虎城十七路军建立了抗日统一战线关系，对推动全国抗日民族统一战线工作发挥了重要作用。     

Y-miniSTR: New application for compromised samples (population data)

In this work 127 unrelated individuals living in the North of Portugal were typed for 8 Y-miniSTRs (DYS504, DYS508, DYS522, DYS540, DYS556, DYS570, DYS576 and DYS632). One hundred and one different haplotypes were detected and 88 of them were found to be unique. Haplotype diversity (0.9936) and discrimination capacity (69.29%) were calculated.     

从银绢并用到银绢分离--北宋时期的银绢关系试探

北宋初期,失去货币资格的绢帛与白银一道,常常被用于与其它商品互换.但仁宗朝以后,专用白银而不用绢的记载增加.尤其是神宗朝以后,不仅银绢同用减少,而且不少日常交易、支付事例中,出现了以银代绢的现象,甚至有的事例开始具有了以银买绢的意味.此时,商品市场上完成了从银绢并用到银绢分离的转变.这标志着,在当时的商品货币关系中,白银开始从包括绢帛在内的普通商品中分离出来,向充当一般等价物的特殊商品--货币过渡.白银货币化的序幕由此揭开.     

Fifteen minutes of glory: A Burkean analysis of press coverage of Oliver north's testimony

Public esteem for Lt. Col. Oliver North prior to his testimony before the Iran‐contra Committee was low. As he testified, his popularity and support soared, and then tailed off after he left the witness stand. This analysis suggests that these dramatic shifts in audience response to the drama of Oliver North are attributable to the evocation of different audience values before, during, and after his testimony by press coverage of his story which placed differential emphasis on the elements of Kenneth Burke's dramatistical pentad. The differential impacts of print and electronic media to these audience effects are assessed through content analysis. Implications for political processes in general in our media society are discussed.     

Sex determination from hand and foot dimensions in a North Indian population

Hands and feet are often recovered from the site of natural as well as man-made disasters because of bomb blasts, train accidents, plane crashes, or mass homicides. This study is intended to establish standards for determination of sex from the dimensions of hands and feet in a North Indian population. The data for this study comprise 123 men and 123 women aged between 17 and 20 years from the "Rajput" population of Himachal Pradesh in North India. Four anthropometric measurements viz. hand length, hand breadth, foot length, and foot breadth have been taken on both sides of each subject following international anthropometric standards. The hand index (hand breadth/hand length × 100) and the foot index (foot breadth/foot length × 100) were calculated. Sectioning points and regression models are derived for the hand and foot dimensions and the derived indices. The hand and foot dimensions show a higher accuracy in sex determination by sectioning point analysis when compared to hand and foot index. Of the hand and the foot dimensions, hand breadth and foot breadth showed better accuracy in sex determination. Hand index and foot index remain poor sex discriminators in the study.

Letter from North Haven is an essay on American national identity that shows the depth of small town mentalities in American life—no matter that that life is mainly urban and industrial. We move from Chicago School sociology to the Catcher in the Rye; from Bob Dylan to Steven Spielberg; from Jacksonian Democracy to the Tea Party movement. The essay ends by using the example of politics in North Haven, Maine, to call upon the President to revive his campaign by explaining America's problems in the plain style and tangible context of small town USA.     

Carbon Taxation and Policy Labeling: Experience from American States and Canadian Provinces

A vast economics literature embraces taxation of the carbon content of fossil fuels as the superior policy approach for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. However, experience around the world suggests that carbon taxes face exceedingly difficult political hurdles. Federal experience in the United States and in Canada confirms this pattern. This article reviews sub‐federal policy development among American states and Canadian provinces, a great many of which have pursued climate policy development. With one major exception, explicit carbon taxation appears to remain a political nonstarter. At the same time, states and provinces have been placing indirect carbon prices on fossil fuel use through a wide range of policies. These tend to strategically alter labeling, avoiding the terms of “tax” and “carbon” in imposing costs. The article offers a framework for considering such strategies and examines common design features, including direct linkage between cost imposition and fund usage to build political support.     

境外“金三角”缅甸北部地区毒品复燃对中国的影响

中国云南省境外缅甸北部地区传统罂粟毒品种植面积自2007年以来逐年大幅上升,新型合成冰毒类毒品来势凶猛,对中国构成巨大威胁。缅甸新政府成立后对中缅边境地区的安全形势有何影响,缅北地区毒品种植与毒品加工的反弹以及禁毒工作的严峻态势,值得中国禁毒理论学界和实战部门关注与研究。
