The Search for Job Satisfaction: A Survey of Alabama Policing

This study examines police job satisfaction and its association with general occupational attraction. Police officers from sixteen municipal departments (n = 1,114) across one southern state (Alabama) were found to possess moderate-high overall job satisfaction, with regression analysis supporting the conclusions of prior studies that demographics are of little value to understanding job satisfaction. The findings convey that 25% of job satisfaction variance can be explained from six variables (in order of importance): social contribution, pay, adventure/excitement, autonomy, peer respect, and job security. The importance of benefits and community respect was unsupported, as were partner and special operation assignments. The author concludes that a great portion of police satisfaction hinges on the realization of work environment expectations, and that departments must proactively construct policies to enhance fulfillment of officer aspirations.

网络涉警舆论危机的演进看似杂乱无章,实则有其内在发展规律。依据产品的生命周期理论,把网络涉警舆论危机的发展划分成五个阶段,对每个阶段都按照"负面舆论增量"、"时间变量"和"警察形象减量"三个变量进行"三位一体"的探讨,并且详细分析每个阶段的发展规律及其所具有的特点,形成一个基本的理论模型,即网络涉警舆论危机演进模式。而后为使模型更加切合实际操作,还要对社会现实与虚拟网络的互动和助推模式进行分析。     

关于公安院校开设《中国近现代史纲要》课程的思考

历史课是在学校开始较早，也是开设时间较长的一门课程。通过中学历史与高校历史课程的对比分析，表明在不同阶段开设历史课程对学生的影响是有所侧重的，其指导意义是有所区别的。《中国近代史纲要》是高校思想政治理论课程之一，结合“政治建警、政治建校”的理念，从思想政治教育角度阐述了开设此门课的必要性和重要性。     

基于沉浸体验的大学生竞赛训练模式研究

在沉浸理论和沉浸体验的基础上,把一种修正的兴趣平衡线沉浸体验训练方法应用于大学生竞赛的赛前训练,可以使大学生在赛前获得必要的竞赛技能。对近4年来不同竞赛不同类型的学生数据进行分析与研究,结果表明,使用沉浸体验策略小组的获奖率达到59%,为使用传统训练方法的小组1.8倍,有效的解决了参赛者厌学、焦虑等情绪,提高了参赛学生的关注度、学习兴趣及创新能力。     

论我国现代监区警务模式的要素及其建构

现代监区警务模式是立足于监区的新型监狱警务模式,它既关注监管安全,也重视矫正罪犯,它是一种全新的警务模式。它具有以下要素:目标要素、人员和知识要素、信息要素、和谐要素、评估要素等,按照五项要素进行建构,才能最大程度地提高警务效能,提高行刑质量、行刑效率,不断提高罪犯改造质量,实现中央领导提出的"首要标准"的目标。     

A case study of interpreter-mediated witness statement: police interpreting in South Korea

Interpreters play an important role in police interviewing witnesses from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. In the cases where interpreters lack professional attributes such as interpreting competence and impartiality, it is very likely that the interpreted evidence and statement will not be a faithful reproduction of original utterances. If attention is not paid to possible alterations by interpreters to the original utterances of the witness and duty of care is lacking in the procedure of obtaining statement from witnesses through such interpreters, the official legal record may not be an accurate one. Drawing on the data of a video-recorded interpreter-mediated police interview in South Korea, this paper examines issues arising from the lack of understanding of the role of interpreters, which may have implications for criminal proceedings. The findings indicate that in addition to interpreter training, more efficient police training in the adoption of best practice guidelines in interviewing through interpreters is required.

在建立现代警务机制进程中，需要评估新时期警民关系和构建警民关系的新格局。我们要在细致分析当前警民关系现状的基础上，探索进一步密切警民关系的对策与方法。新时期密切警民关系的关键在于进一步解放思想、转变观念、拓宽思路，改进作风、改进方法、狠抓落实，做到“导向明确”、“重点突出”、“措施落实”。     

力促民爆热点难点转变为山西公安工作亮点

山西省涉爆事故、案件多，曾造成重大人员伤亡，且在原因清楚、治理对策基本正确的情况下反复持续发作，是治安热点、难点。通过教育学习，山西公安取得空前一致，认识到治爆是落实科学发展观、构建和谐社会的需要，是服务国家发展大局、提供战略性经济政治支撑的需要，是服务地方经济社会发展、推进产业结构调整升级的需要。他们加强理论研究，注重标本兼治，坚持人民战争，改革警务模式，建立长效机制。促使空前严峻的挑战转变为难得的发展机遇。     

浅谈高职教学中专长教育的开展

近几年，随着财会专业学生数量的增加，就业压力逐渐增大。在此情况下，要想让高职学生在激烈的竞争中占得先机，就必须发挥高职教育的特色和优势。在高等职业学校应结合高职教学本身的特点，在保证学生基本理论学习的基础上，强化电算化、税务、理财、审计等某一方面的技能训练。从而迅速独立承担相应的工作。
