Art of the Power Deal: The Four Negotiation Roles of Donald J. Trump

In this article, I mine President Donald Trump’s considerable writing and speaking record to synthesize the key elements of his deal‐making approach to help make better sense of his rhetoric and actions on the world’s diplomatic stage. My argument is that Trump’s coercive negotiation style is best understood through the prism of his four public roles: observer, performer, controller, and disrupter. In this article, I analyze how these roles translate into his negotiating behavior. Spotting and exploiting vulnerability is his trade; leverage and bravado are his tools. After assessing the opposing side, Trump uses leverage to threaten his counterparts’ weaknesses, while using bravado to play up the advantages of reaching an agreement on his terms. This way, he presents a drastic structured choice to his opponents, leaving them the least maneuvering space. In the final section of the paper, I illustrate how the four‐role framework helps explain Trump’s decisions in the nuclear negotiations with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. I also consider opportunities for further research.     

Fashioning Readers: The avant garde and British Vogue , 1920-9

Mahood explores both the work of modern writers and work about modern writers as published in British Vogue during the 1920s. She demonstrates how a familiarity with trends in modern literature was presented as but one of the de rigeueur activities of the modern woman au fait with contemporary tastes. In doing so, the role of non-literary, or non-specialist, magazines in contributing to the rise of a common reader familiar with the practitioners and practices of modernist art is examined. Furthermore, she shows how the perceived 'restricted' value (or appeal) of modernism, in addition to the movement's palpable concern with modernity, became the very means by which modernism entered into the literary and cultural mainstream during the 1920s.

反恐怖预警机制是参与反恐怖预警工作的职能部门、相关组织和个人就反恐怖预警工作有效运行所形成的相互关系的总称。反恐怖预警机制有内部预警机制和外部预警机制两种类型。反恐怖预警机制包括组织建设、组织运行、组织保障三个结构性方面。"9.11事件"之后美国从组织建设、组织运行等方面大刀阔斧地改革了执法和情报部门,提升了反恐怖情报建设和预警工作的地位。     

雄黄主要成分As2S2通过“ANP32A-INHAT-H3乙酰化”轴抑制三阴性乳腺癌细胞增殖、迁移的表观遗传调控机制

目的 探究雄黄主要成分二硫化二砷（As2S2）对三阴性乳腺癌（triple negative breast cancer,TNBC）的作用及表观遗传调控机制。方法 〖JP2〗采用CCK-8、平板克隆形成和细胞划痕实验探究As2S2对人正常乳腺上皮细胞MCF-10A及TNBC细胞增殖和迁移的影响;4D-label free定量蛋白质组学分析挖掘As2S2抗TNBC的潜在干预靶点酸性核磷蛋白家族成员32A（acidic nuclear phosphoprotein family member 32A,ANP32A）;慢病毒感染法构建ANP32A过表达敲低细胞株,探究潜在靶点ANP32A对As2S2抗TNBC作用的影响;蛋白质免疫共沉淀和Western blot实验探究As2S2是否通过ANP32A调控TNBC细胞H3乙酰化。结果 As2S2对人正常乳腺上皮细胞MCF-10A影响甚微,但显著抑制TNBC细胞增殖和迁移,且呈剂量依赖性;4D-lable free定量蛋白质组学分析结果显示,促癌因子ANP32A被As2S2显著下调,且ANP32A表达影响As2S2在TNBC中的抗增殖和迁移效果。As2S2能下调ANP32A的蛋白水平,抑制乙酰转移酶抑制剂复合物亚基的招募,增加H3乙酰化水平。结论 As2S2通过下调ANP32A蛋白调控TNBC细胞中H3乙酰化,抑制TNBC细胞增殖和迁移。

日美防卫技术合作演变的逻辑

防卫技术合作是日美同盟关系深化的重要体现，也是安全合作以及同盟管控的组成部分。日美防卫技术合作的进展受防卫技术合作的制度化水平和日本在同盟关系中自主化水平双重因素的影响。20世纪80年代以前，受日本武器出口规范和技术能力的限制，日美之间的防卫技术合作以美国单方面援助日本为主。其后，日本在技术上取得较大突破，开始在对美技术合作与自主技术研发之间寻求平衡，但技术合作制度化水平较低，影响了两国的合作。进入21世纪第二个10年之后，日本在解禁“武器出口三原则”的同时，进一步加强技术研发能力、深化与美国的防卫技术合作，并寻求技术合作的多元化。通过日美战斗机研发合作的案例可以发现，看似日本对美国渐趋自主，但仍然难以摆脱对美防卫技术依存的困境。日美之间防卫技术合作的深度以及日本防卫合作对象多元化的广度将是影响日本未来防卫产业发展的重要因素。
