Modern poetry,popular song and their dangerous liaisons

Abstract

In this article, Tsuboi Hideto examines the mutually entwined pursuits of modern poetry and music in interwar Japan, focusing especially on the work of Nakahara Chūya, Kitahara Hakushū, and the People's Poetry group. Cutting across their respective distinctions within the poetry establishment, Tsuboi draws attention to these figures’ shared investment in symphonic, folk and popular music. In so doing, he identifies among them a prevailing concern for curating a poetic voice that might harmonize the conflictual registers of individual and collective expression and thereby attune the work of the poet to that of the ‘people’ more broadly. Meanwhile, the essay traces the currents of modernist and avant-garde thought in Japan and Europe that framed these poets’ engagements with music and sound. Tsuboi then illustrates the varying degrees to which these voices, forged within the cosmopolitan milieu of the Taisho period, bent toward the nationalizing project and later gave way to the chorus of wartime fascism and imperial expansion.     

Russian Public Sector Employees’ Reasoning of Ethical Behavior: An Empirical Study

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to examine the ethical reasoning of Russian public sector employees based on age, gender, management experience, specialization by the area of activity, and tenure with the current employer. Using t-test and one-way ANOVA statistical analyses, this study analyzed the ethical reasoning of 199 Russian public sector employees. Significant differences in ethical reasoning were observed among public sector employees based on age and specialization by the area of activity, but no significant differences in ethical reasoning were found among respondents based on gender, management experience and tenure with current employer.

实然与应然——法律伦理之可能

法律伦理及法律伦理学是否可能取决于从法律伦理行为事实能否推导出法律伦理行为应该。然而,单纯从行为事实是推不出行为应该的,只有通过法律目的判断以及法律伦理行为事实和法律目的之关系判断才能从法律伦理行为事实如何推导出法律伦理行为应该如何。法律伦理行为之应该经由人们的实践活动可以变为现实,其具体保障在于法律伦理良心、法律伦理名誉及底线法律伦理的法律化。

党建价值目标的伦理建构，要体现以人为本的核心立场，把促进人的全面发展，实现好、维护好、发展好最广大人民的根本利益作为党的建设的出发点和落脚点。基于党的建设实践路径，应把观念创新作为党建价值目标伦理建构的先导工程，从人民利益出发，在“民生”与“民富”、“民智”与“民强”、“民安”与“民享”协调发展中，彰显党的执政品格，体现党推进发展的根本目的。     

防范道德危险与保护其他权利人——《保险法》第43条之解读

如何规制投保人、受益人故意造成被保险人死亡、伤残或者疾病的保险法律效果至关重要,《保险法》经过2009年之修订已有所进步。然而,《保险法》第43条之体系解释依旧难以自圆其说,依然存在许多有待检讨之处。问题的关键在于恰当处理防范道德危险与保护其他权利人之间的关系。显然,道德危险是客观存在的但是应当从严认定,其他权利人的利益应当优先保护,立法也应当沿着这一思路逐渐完善。     

关于马尔库塞技术理性批判的几点思考

马尔库塞通过对当代资本主义工业化时代的分析,认识到了资本主义工业化的发展,尤其是科学技术的进步,导致了人的全方位的异化：人的本性的单向度、人的政治的单向度以及人的思想与文化的单向度。在资本主义社会,科学技术的发展具有两重性：一方面,它是一种推动生产发展的革命力量;另一方面,它又被资产阶级拿来当作对无产阶级和劳动人民实行专政和进行勒索的有力工具。

浅析《老子》翻译——《老子》译本的描述性研究

从描述性翻译研究的新视角对历时近三百年产生的二百多本涵盖《老子》世传、帛书、竹简3种版本的译本进行全面历史性描述,得到以下要点:一是《老子》译本的翻译根据3种不同版本呈现出3种翻译趋势与热潮,随着历史时期的变化而变化对中国古典文学的翻译倾向产生不同影响;作为边缘文化的典例对西方文化也造成了一定影响。二是多译本《老子》这一文学翻译典例表明文学翻译批评应兼具规定性翻译批评研究和描述性翻译批评研究,以此完整的翻译批评系统推动翻译文学事业的发展。     

The Ethical Irrationality of the World: Weber and Hindu Ethics

Abstract

This paper argues that Weber ought to be read as a comparative ethicist who brings his German intellectual inheritance, especially Schopenauer and Nietzsche, to a dialogue with ethical traditions in India and China. It shows that Weber not only had a supple understanding of the tensions within Hindu ethics, his own account of value often closely corresponds to Hindu axiology and was enriched by an encounter with it.
