讲史的文体形式及其在章回小说生成史上的重要作用

讲史是我国历史上的一种重要文学艺术形式.从文体角度而言,它一方面承继了史传的若干特点,另一方面又以民间的说书艺术点化了史传,使之向章回小说方向发生了决定性的转变.这些转变主要包括叙述者的现身、创作目的的由垂戒到娱人、创作方法的由实向虚以及故事形态的确立等.由于讲史以及这些特点的存在,史传向章回小说的过渡才得以完成.     

浅析网络小说中关于社会公德意识缺失的问题

网络小说作为当代网络文学中重要组成部分之一,其发展受到社会各界的关注,由于刚刚起步,发展中难免存在着各种严峻的问题,而当前发展中的一个重要问题既是网络小说中社会公德意识缺失问题,本着治病救人的原则,笔者着重分析了这种道德现象的成因以及解决问题的一些有益的思考,希望对解决此种问题有所帮助。     

n‐Ethyl Pentylone‐Related Deaths in Alabama

n‐Ethyl pentylone (NEP) is a chemical substance derived from cathinone. Synthetic cathinones are an evolving group of drugs with stimulating, mind‐altering effects sometimes referred to as novel or new psychoactive substances (NPS). There is scarce information in the medical literature regarding forensic cases in which NEP is detected in toxicological testing. We present four fatalities involving NEP from Alabama in 2017. Deaths were attributed to NEP toxicity in two cases (peripheral blood concentrations of 0.121 and 0.953 mg/L) and injuries caused by gunshot wounds in two cases (peripheral blood concentrations of 0.045 and 0.031 mg/L). One case involving NEP described an individual who exhibited classic CNS‐stimulant induced erratic behavior before being found dead. These cases enhance the forensic literature regarding specific NPS like NEP and provide contextual reference for professionals considering the significance of NEP in toxicological interpretation.

Dystopian Eugenics and Mestizo Futurisms in Eduardo Urzaiz's Eugenia

Set in 2218, the novel Eugenia envisions a contradictory utopian and dystopian future premised upon eugenical engineering. Here, I analyse Urzaiz's vision of the beginnings of eugenics in Mexico. Ultimately, I argue that Villautopia is presented as ever-vigilant and always responding to threats of degeneracy and social disorder, which accurately the reflect eugenicist underpinnings of Urzaiz's time. An analysis of Urzaiz himself and the Yucatán context is key as it envisions, translates and produces new eugenic ideas that deterritorialise eugenics and portrays it both in a ‘positive’ way while providing a series of ‘negative’ possibilities as a probable outcome.     

互动中的叙事模式--中国20世纪20年代雅俗小说形态研究

20世纪20年代中国雅俗小说在叙事模式方面存在较为明显的互动现象,具体表现在讲听模式与写读模式、情节模式与情调模式的转向、互动.叙事模式的互动不仅加速了通俗小说借鉴现代新小说的过程,促使了通俗小说由传统向现代的转变,而且促进了新小说的民族化叙事风格的形成,从而对现代小说格局的多元构建具有重要的价值和意义.     

网络小说对大学生思想政治教育的挑战及应对策略

网络小说在大学生中间的盛行,对大学生思想政治教育带来了巨大的挑战。它不仅极大地冲击了大学生正在形成的正确价值观念、思想观念,弱化了教育者的主导作用,而且也在一定程度上抵消了学校思想道德教育的作用。作为构成思想政治教育系统的要素,社会、学校、教育者和大学生,都应该发挥自己的作用,以实际行动来抵制网络小说对大学生的消极影响,推进网络时代大学生思想政治教育的新发展。     

Elizabeth von Arnim’s The Pastor’s Wife: A Reassessment

Abstract

The Pastor’s Wife (1914) may seem at first reading simply another depiction of a woman struggling for liberation in the decades following the work of Thomas Hardy and Henrik Ibsen, being the story of how Ingeborg Bullivant escapes from an English patriarchal home, only to find herself trapped in another one in Germany. The novel, however, marks a turning point in Elizabeth von Arnim’s career; it is a novel that looks back to previous themes while anticipating those to come. It demonstrates, with comedy and bitterness, themes of alienation and exile; satirizes German codes and class; and provides a lyrical Romantic vision of the natural world. It also presents the married woman as a prisoner in a way that anticipates Vera (1921). The novel can also stand alone as an underrated classic that plays an important part in the history of English literature. Published at the beginning of high modernism, it shows, unlike the work of some canonized writers of the time, a fusion of realism and modernism. This essay argues that the novel is a proto-feminist work that is radical in its portrayal of women’s experience and influenced by literary naturalism in its childbirth scenes, but pessimistic about possibilities for change. The essay shows how the novel is modernist in its depiction of the alienated experience of the city; uses nineteenth-century realism in its narrative structure and comedy; and yet is forward-looking in its use of endings. A book that begins as a comedy but ends as a tragedy, The Pastor’s Wife deserves equal recognition with the work of H. G. Wells and E. M. Forster, writers with whom von Arnim was connected and by whom she was influenced.     

The Double Play of Mirrors: Anna Kavan,Autobiography and Self-Portraiture

Abstract

Better known as the author of complex visionary novels of female experience, it is important to note that Anna Kavan was not only a writer, but also an artist, painting throughout her adult life in tandem with her writing. This article considers the nature of the relationship between her literary life and her artistic life, and what her novels tell us about her relationship to the cultivation of her self-image. Famously destroying her personal archive, shirking notable correspondents and recapitulating a mental disquiet across many of her paintings and prose works, it is of little surprise that Kavan’s enigmatic presence often figures more prominently than serious discussion of her literary and artistic achievements. How did this mercurial relationship to identity shape the ways in which Kavan explored her self-image?
